Still new but, like it so far.

so far we like our GE fridge. I love the french doors!! I wish that the freezer had a handle that "lifted" to open it. I had tested some on other brands and really liked that feature . We love the water dispenser being inside the fridge! The only thing i have noticed is the freezer gets off track sometimes and its loud when you move it to open. I would say the freezer is the main feature we dont like. We like that one shelf can be split to make room for taller items. It is the only shelf that allows taller items. It can also be extended back out to hold more if needed. There is no butter holder in the door which i miss.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Awesome upgrade already had a GE FRIDGE, so I upgraded to the French door design and DO NOT REGRET IT AT ALL. Allot of space and shelves. Great refrigerator.

I have had this refrigerator for about 3 years. A couple months ago it started to quit cooling intermittently.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Our Likes and Dislikes for this Fridge/Freezer

Likes: Outside, the finish does seem to not show fingerprints as much as our old stainless appliances. The fridge is bright on the inside. The retractable shelf and the drip protection edges are nice features. We enjoy having a separate vegetable and fruit drawer. Door storage is deep and offers a good amount of space. We can fit a full gallon jug and a 1/2 gallon carton in the primary shelf - on either side of the french doors. The deli drawer on the bottom is lit separately, which is nice. The controls for cooling are simple - nothing fancy to get us confused.

Dislikes: Would prefer for the bottom deli drawer to be split, rather than a fridge-wide drawer that requires both french doors to open to access. The small shelf at the bottom of the drawer is nearly useless - unless you want to store stick butter or short spices/condiments. Would work well for insulin or other refrigerated medicines. Otherwise, it's kind of wasted space. Lastly, I wish there were a few more shelf height options to choose from. If you want to put a gallon of milk on the bottom shelf, the room left for the 2nd shelf is too narrow for even a carton of eggs.
Freezer
Likes: It makes a LOT of ice. We bought a little scoop to make it easy to load glasses. The dividers in the freezer are nice to have in the top shelf. The drawer pulls out smoothly.
Dislikes: The ice maker and bucket takes up 1/4 of the top drawer space. This is our first bottom drawer freezer - we underestimated how much stooping and digging is required to get to your frozen veggies in the back bottom of the drawer. We may look into some after-market baskets or such to help us organize and separate items in the bottom. We find ourselves leaning on that drawer a bit to reach back - hoping that doesn't put too much wear and tear on the drawer slides.

Overall
Likes: The price seemed fair for a french-door style fridge. We like how bright it is. And it keeps everything cold to the true temps (we put in a thermometer from our chest freezer to verify). GE has a good reputation for longevity and ease of repairs.

Dislikes: It's a little growly at times - the noises are terrible, but it is definitely louder than our last fridge. Also do not like that we're supposed to pull it out to vacuum the back every 6 months. After the stabilizers are set, that fridge isn't moving easily. Would be nice if GE offered a 'guaranteed fit' line of accessories we could just order from their site after registering our fridge.
