Condensation Issues

When refrig was delivered, the top double doors and bottom freezer door had to be removed to fit through the door. Bottom freezer door had water in the seals that I had to wipe out every day. The service repair person came and found that the doors were improperly reinstalled and the heater was not operational. I thought the issue was fixed, but not fixed. We went on an 8 day vaca only to come home and find a small puddle of water on the floor from the accumulated water condensation again. I'm in the process of a second service visit to see what can be done.

Love this frig!

I purchased this refrigerator near the end of June 2023 based on positive reviews and ratings. So far so good! The frig had the features I was looking for especially the size and square footage. I'm a bit of a practical minimalist so I didn't want all the bells and whistles of other more expensive and larger refrigerators. The stainless steel looks great and adds so much 'class' to my kitchen. One thing I love is the shelves. They are strong, stable, and they don't "bend" in the middle if holding something heavy. The frig is roomy and the dimensions allow for lots of storage. Having more depth size than width didn't cause issues at all in my kitchen. It doesn't "stick out" in the traffic area as much as I thought it might. The LED lighting is nice, the water filter is accessible, and the frig is quiet. The only normal sounds one hears are the filling of the ice maker and the occasional defrost cycles, but these sounds are not annoying at all. There is a cold-water dispenser inside the top box but our family doesn't use it. Nice to have if/when we do. Most importantly, the temperature stays consistently cold in both the top box and the freezer compartments. **Once turned on the frig took several hours to reach the optimum cold temperature set point. We picked up the frig from the appliance store boxed and installed it ourselves with no problems. The features and quality of this refrigerator met our needs for the price point I was trying to stay between. We are very pleased.
**Hint: make sure to store your food from your old refrigerator in ice-chests to keep them cold while installing your new frig. It will take a while for the temp to reach 37 degrees, so patience is required. Having your food cold when loading up your new frig is important in helping the new one reach this temperature. But once the temperature is reached the frig stays cold! Keep thermometers in the top box and freezer to monitor the temps.
Overall, a great appliance.

Beautiful fridge! A paper Owner's Manual would have been nice (there are a couple of small things I have questions on). It's so roomy! The shelves were easy to install in the door. I love having the water dispenser on the inside and the ice maker in the bottom freezer. One of my dogs loved getting her own ice from the dispenser on the door of my old fridge. She is now confused and disappointed - I'm happy that there is less mess to clean up. I'm sure I'll figure the rest of the features out later - YouTube usually does not disappoint.

Happy Decision

Our buying decision was the right one! My husband and I decided on the model GNE25J, 25 cu.ft. model. We had a hard time wrapping our heads around not having ice and water in the door. Now, we both like the bottom freezer with built in ice maker better. The regrigerator space as exceeded our expectations. We can get so many items in the door shelves which would were placed in the hard to reach places in our old fridge. The fridge is quiet, looks great and easy to clean inside and out. My favorite part is how easy it is to view everything in the fridge. No time is wasted searching for things. We couldn't be more pleased with this refrigerator.
