Cheap piece of junk

All of the components are very light I anticipate something will either break shortly and or become embrittled. When the door opens it is so light it bangs into the cabinet. Had to remove the items in the door. Ice maker is awful. sounds like a bomb when ice hits the tray.Water dispenser is an afterthought and unusable. There is a flat button and a piece of tubing too short for anything. A cup doesn’t fit under it and water splashes everywhere. Caveat emptor!

12/9/24 refrigerator will not stay cold. The temp fluctuate from 38 to 60. Motor runs most of the day.

So I bought this Refrigerator in Nov. 2023. Freezer light is out. Refrigerator compartment would build frost. But it would mostly go away when the defrost cycle kicked in. Vegetables would freeze in draw. Even when draw temp set to lower temp. BUT what led me to write this review is 3 days before Christmas and a fridge full of food. I wake up to a refrigerator not operating. Summer time inside there. And freezer that is now on super cool and frosting over. So the search is on to try and get it up and running before guests come for Christmas. But most likely will just have to buy another Fridge . Oh and NOT GE. It’s not like the other appliances with the kitchen package are Stellar. I would not recommend this product

Lost Confidence—Do Not Trust

Please tell me how I should feel…this, my replacement GE refrigerator, which has only been installed 44 days in my home is now intermittently working with temperatures going above 40 degrees (set for 37) and the refrigerator compressor not even working. I unplugged to reset computer and adjusted temp to 34 and it still would not come on. After 1 hour it kicked on! Do I trust it?? No! Why? The original GE refrigerator (same model as the replacement ) intermittently stopped working and maintaining consistent safe temperatures correctly just only 11 months in my home (under warranty). AND it took over 11+ weeks (3 months) for the warrant department to replace it and yes my family and I were without a refrigerator for 3 months.

Freezer Door Handle is a hazard

As others have also said the freezer door handle is a safety hazard. It continuously slips off the brackets when pulling out the drawer. Mine finally broke off the brackets and I haven't found a way to.replace them.

Does not seem like a quality product.

I am feeling like I would like to get rid of this refrigerator. The Handle has already come off several times and the refrigerator makes strange noises that sound like an owl picking on a tree. It has various sounds and the volume goes up and down at times when it runs. I thought it was raining on the roof of the house and it turned out it was just the refrigerator running.

The freezer handle came of the door the first week

The freezer handle came of the door the first week. Having the freezer at the bottom is arduous in storing and finding contents. One of the inserted glass shelves in the top slide system broke and no longer tracks out. The glass inserted into the shelves cannot be removed to clean the build up of food in the tracks. The filtered water nipple is difficult to use. We are not happy with this GE refrigerator.

Nothing but problems. Tge water hookup started leaking after 1 year. Thank God it was a quick fix. However now it started leaking again. Figured it was the same issue and just decided to turn tge water off. But now my vegetables are freezing in the vegetable drawer. Do not think I will be buying another one.
