I love my new refrigerator. It now only looks beautiful, it fits my family’s needs to a tee. It is so quiet. Has tons of space. The ice maker is the best. I love the adjustable shelves. I have never had so much freezer space with accessibility. I can see everything. I highly suggest this GE product.

Noisy Freezer!!

Our freezer makes a loud vibrating noise. It is very annoying. This product makes more noise than the one it replaced. It has an ice maker that we are not using. We have turned the ice maker off but it is still periodically (about every hour) making the noise and each cycle lasts for about 10 minutes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If the icemaker is still on but doesn't have water connected it will still call for water and that could be what you are hearing. We recommend verifying it has been turned off or actually unplugging it from the inner freezer wall. Please refer to page 20 in your manual.

This GE refrigerator/freezer has been working very well in the 4 months since we bought it. It maintains a consistent temperature and keeps food noticeably cooler at the same temperature setting as our old refrigerator. Only 2 negatives: 1 - no temperature display for the freezer section. 2 - compressor and evaporator fan are much louder than any refrigerator we've ever owned, including the first GE refrigerator we had some 40 years ago. While not really noisy, it is much louder than what one would reasonably expect from a modern refrigerator.

Didn't think we'd like the water dispenser but it works fine. Just wish there was some sort of cover for the ice storage.

This is huge and the storage inside is perfect. The glass shelves are easily adjustable and easy to clean. Everything is easily accessible. I love the clean, sleek look of the outside.
