Water access
on February 21, 2023

This is a great refrigerator. However, the water feature inside is pretty worthless. It comes out very slow, and it is not very cold as it isn’t part of the ice making system it’s self that’s the only thing I would change if some way to access the water because you can hardly get your cup or glass underneath the spout.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good but has a few quirks

Our fridge died so we had to make a fast pick, luckily I had an idea of what I wanted and this fridge fit it very closely. It looks great seems to keep everything cold even when opening the doors often while cooking.
The reasons why I only gave it 4 stars is more around user functionality.
- the water dispenser should be easier to use one handed use.
- water dispenser button is super touchy so it takes a lot of pressure to turn on and stay on. Often shutting off multiple times while filling a cup.
- shelf spacing is poorly designed, and they don’t really give any freedom to move shelves.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great fridge

I got this fridge a couple of months ago So far So Good. it has a lot of room. I like the clear bins/ drawers you can see everything much better. I am not a fan of the water dispenser it's too slow for me and you have to keep the door open too long. Other than that, I love it!!
I bought the GE artistry series stove a while back, didn't need a fridge at the time, I'm glad I had to wait, I like the French Door better.
I did choose to change the door handles to match the stove, I think it looks great. I do wish GE would have given the option for the handles when you order it. It took a lot of research to find the right ones. I think they look Great!

New fridge brought us into the 21st century

The French doors of our fingerprint free stainless steel refrigerator are wonderful. They allow us to only open one side most of the time, breakfast on the right side and lunch on the left. The see-threw drawers open so easily. The large containers on the doors allow for a lot of storage that wasn't available on our last fridge. The freezer door pulls out the ice bin! The deep freezer compartments allow for a lot of storage. No magnets are going on these beautiful doors. Love it.

Door seal does not seal all the times (leaks)
on September 10, 2023

It appears to be a leak in the door seal causing condensation inside fridge. We started noticing the varying condensation levels few days after delivery. Some days it is better than others. We called for service. In the meantime we noticed that the seal on left side door does not always close all way all the time, so we started to manually close the seal all the way after closing left door. It helped a lot. Tech arrived and we explained our observation. We hoped to permanent solution. Tech mentioned that there is a spring in this door seal that is supposed to close the seal tight once door is closed . Tech opened and closed the door few times and he said that things are all good. No condensation and no visible air leakage. He recommended to no longer close the door seal manually and let the spring do its work, and to call back if the problem returns. Things worked good for few days, and then we started seeing condensation again with the same apparent root cause: Door seal is not completely sealed. By completely sealed, I mean that the seal retracts when the door opens (becomes at 90 degree angle against the door opening) and supposed to be flat when door closes. In some cases the seal is not flat when door is closed allowing for air leakage.
We will call service again and hope this time they fix the problem once and for all.

Loved this fridge!!! Until it died on me after only having it for 4.5 years. Please tell me this isn’t normal for appliances these days. Bought the 3 year warranty. A lot of good that did me. Won’t buy another GE!

Very noisy. Poor quality.

I purchased this model (GNE25JYKGFFS) in September 2023. Since then, the service department has been here 4 times. They have replaced the compressor, the evaporator fan, and other parts. The unit still does not operate properly! It grinds and is very loud. Avoid this refrigerator. It is an inferior product. A complete waste of money! I will not buy another GE product!
