Nice middlw of the road unit

For the money this unit comes with a lot of features. It has very bright lighting inside both the freezer and the refrigerator, And for being my 1st side-by-side I was pleasantly impressed with the amount of room. The only issue is ice cubes falling behind the freezer drawer as you pull it out but I gather a lot of people have the same issue. It's a great refrigerator otherwise.

GE refrigerator

Big and bulky, but it fits into the space we had available (height). Seems to hold less stuff than our last refrigerator, but maybe it is the way the shelves are aligned. Not a big fan of chest-style freezer, but that seems to be the trend.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very frustrated and disappointed!

This is noisiest refrigerator we have ever owned! Technicians from 2 different repair services came to look at it. They both stated that the refrigerator was extremely noisy. One said the noise is caused by the circulation of refrigerant. The refrigerant noise is constant and can be heard whenever the fridge is running. No new refrigerator should make so much noise that it can be heard in other rooms. We have to turn up the volume on the TV when the fridge is running. I am retired and watch a fair amount of TV in winter. This whole experience has been and continues to be unsettling. I am thinking of giving it away and purchasing a new refrigerator. The new one won't be a GE model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
