Your service sucks!

Your first refrigerator only worked less then 5 hours. Then after sending out two different repairmen, you finally decided to give me a new one! How would you feel being without a working refrigerator for over three weeks? I just hope this one continues to work for a long time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good value for a reliable refrigerator

I am happy with my new refrigerator…. Didn’t want to pay a fortune for the ‘outside’ door water and ice cube dispenser, since the inside freezer tray makes good ice cubes and has the drinking water sprout inside refrig which is just fine….. a good refrig at a good price, and I like the GE brand.

Looks good. Works well so far (3 months), no problems but makes some odd noises at times....? Hesitate to say yes to recommend but I will in hopes there are no problems down the road.

I have to start off by explaining the 5 months of frustration that we went through before luckily purchasing this GE French Door refrigerator.
We had previously had a Maytag side by side for 18 years that we had to replace due to a compressor issue. While we liked our Maytag, we no longer wanted a side by side and researched French door refrigerators. We settled on a Whirlpool since they took over Maytag, otherwise we would have probably purchased Maytag again. After the 1st week of receiving our Whirlpool fridge, it started making a fairly loud & annoying whistle (think cop whistle) about every 20-30 minutes, round the clock, 24 hours a day. Fortunately we purchased this fridge from an amazing, locally owned appliance dealer, NOT a big box store. They came out and serviced the Whirlpool fridge 3 times in about 4 months. They first replaced the fan, then the entire fan motor unit & finally the electronic board in the back of the fridge. Each time, it ran quiet for approx. 1 week and then the dreaded whistle came back again, as well as freezing food in the fridge even at the highest temp setting. Our appliance dealer went above and beyond, got approval from Whirlpool to return the defective fridge and gave us full credit to purchase another fridge.

This time we chose the GE French door fridge and HALLELUJAH! we could not be happier! There really is nothing we dislike about this fridge. It is extremely quiet, much more functional than any other French door fridge of this size, keeps food cold and fresh without cold spots that inappropriately freeze food in the refrigerator part, has a large functional freezer drawer including a large ice bin that makes plenty of ice and lighting in both fridge & freezer is great. We've only had it a little over a month, but so far absolutely love it! I would not hesitate to recommend this fridge to anyone who wants a French door fridge that is a smaller size than the typical French door refrigerators. And after our nightmare with a Whirlpool product, we plan on only purchasing GE appliances in the future!

Great Neww Addition

Upgraded to a new 25 cubic inch fridge. This adds to our existing line up of GE appliances. Really cool fingerprint-less stainless finish. We now have a GE microwave, fridge dishwasher and oven.
Great products, wouldn't have it any other way !
