It seems to be exactly what we were looking for. We really care more about the longevity of it than anything else and we won't know that for a while. Really like the interior water dispenser and the ice produces really well that I had to turn it off, there was so much. Does make a weird sound in the freezer and the drawer sticks a bit. The vegetable crisper is a bit small for us but with our overall measurement restrictions it makes sense. Great looking appliance

Good, but could be better

I bought a French door refrigerator to replace a similar GE Profile refrigerator after 15 years of good service. The new refrigerator design is not as useful to me as the previous design. 1] The full width food drawer at the bottom of the refrigerator requires BOTH of the French doors to be opened to access the contents. 2] The limited options for shelf placement does not allow standard height milk and juice bottles to fit between the shelves. The top shelf that slides back halfway must be slid back for the milk and juice to fit. In the previous model, the shelves could be placed so standard height milk/juice bottles fit without using the slide-back feature. 3] The top shelf cannot be placed as high as the previous model which contributes to the issue of milk/juice bottles not fitting between the shelves. 4] I miss the soda can basket that hung beneath one shelf. I kept the old soda can basket shelf from my previous old refrigerator in hopes of using it in the new refrigerator. However, the new style of shelf supports is not the same as the old refrigerator. 5] The in-door baskets require the small narrow basket to sit at the bottom of the door and a larger, deeper basket to sit above it. This makes it difficult to access the contents of the small basket since the larger basket in the way. 6] There is no in-door basket with a lift-up door which usually sits at the top of in-door baskets. The top basket is hard to access because you have to reach over the basket way up high to access its contents. Two features of the new refrigerator that I am enjoying are the filtered water dispenser and the ice maker.

Perfect for what we need

Our previous fridge was a GE and it lasted 17 yrs that's why we decided to get another GE. Everything looks good and we preffered to have french window style but with lesser electronic.

My new GE refrigerator/freezer is nice looking, has a non finger print coating and organizes easily. It’s so spacious as well as the freezer. I do have one negative but it’s turned out to be a big one. Dispensing water is a huge disappointment. The water dispenser is inside the refrigerator unit. The dispenser was too short so I had to rig up a straw to get the water in the glass. With the double doors wide open you have to hold a button to dispense the water. You can’t press the glass against the button. I discussed with the salesmen before buying. It did not dispense as he stated. The front door dispenser would have been more costly. Spend the money! This is poor engineering. I made a huge mistake settling for the inside dispenser. My mistake, don’t make it yours.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Wish bottom drawer in fridge was two drawers. Don’t care for how water dispenser works but probably won’t use it anyhow.

We love this fridge. Only a few down sides. The water dispenser should be designed a little different. Should have a push button where the cup goes so you just need to push the cup to get water. Freezer drawer is a little cheaply made. Other than that it’s fine
