Has all the options we wanted

The refrigerator is great with lots of storage space. The freezer is not as user friendly. When you open the drawer the top shelf comes out at the same time. We can work with that, but the plastic containers seem flimsy. The ice maker is made out of plastic and has a sliding on/off switch, which already broke after less than a month. When the ice container fills, and close the drawer it pushes the ice out of the storage and onto the bottom of the freezer. Poor design for icemaker. Maybe it can be adjusted when service comes out.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Water is cold and freezer making ice 4 hours after installation. Really like the spacious interior and lighting. Hope this fridge is as good as it looks.

Great Refrigerator!

Finding a new refrigerator that would fit in our 70's built galley style kitchen was difficult. Looked at several different brands. Wanted one that would obviously fit, but had ice and water (inside the unit) as the door water units used up too much usable space. This refrigerator was just what we needed, and we loved the look and functionality.

Everything went well with the delivery and installation. I had an easy time connecting water. Had ice after about 2 hours. Looks good in our kitchen. My only trouble was that for 10 hours or so it kept running. That's the first sign of failure on my last fridge so I was concerned. I couldn't find anything in the quick start manual. I watched some YouTube videos with no luck. I got the idea to try changing both temperature settings. When I did that, it stopped running and now 24 hours later it is holding temperature and running normally. The photo shows the control panel.
I would recommend this to a friend!

GE Refrigerator/freezer

The GE Refrigerator/freezer Model GNE25JYKHFFS is an appliance beyond our expectations. The fingerprint resistance is superb. The french doors are easy to open and when closing one can feel the suction to ensure appropriate sealing of the refrigerator. Internal lighting for seeing what is in the frig is perfect. Also the glass used for shelves and for drawers enable one to get a good view of what is inside the frig. The freezer portion is as well made as the refrigerator and has similar features for good lighting and easy identification of what may be inside it. As a family we are giving this appliance a 5 star rating for all the right reasons.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Do not buy this refrigerator

We have had this refrigerator 20 months and the freezer is NOT freezing. The motor is making a horrible sound and has ran non stop for the last 7 hrs and still has not froze anything.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
