Nice space in fridge and freezer. Bins on doors are good size as well as drawers inside shelves. Love the bottom freezer!

Beautiful exterior finish

Doors open easily but easy to leave the left door ajar. There is an alarm if you do. Interior setup is nice and the sliding shelf to accommodate tall products is a plus. Veggies drawers could be deeper. Interior water dispenser is nice but you have to have a door open to use and it is a bit awkward to hold glass and push button. I cube maker makes plenty of ice

Out-of-the-Box Setback

We read the reviews about this refrigerator before purchasing amid the pandemic when many similar models were unavailable. Out of the box, the freezer handle didn't slide on and click, so I'm here registering my product to see how GE will resolve the problem and make sure we have a functional handle to allow for easy use of the freezer.
Other consumers' comments about the freezer drawer being poorly engineered might be legitimate. It does seem sensitive to pull out and put in, but a working handle should alleviate some concerns with this and keep us satisfied with the value of the product.
This model's three handles install without screws (they slide on). Based on the way the "click" feels when the handles slide on, I'd infer such models consistently require replacing parts upon installation--they're dependent on perfect placement of screws factory-installed into the doors and perfect interlocking between the affixed plastic connector and the handle itself.
Otherwise, my initial assessment of this product is that it's spacious for its size, nice and cool, and a little quieter than the well-outdated refrigerator it's replaced. I'm optimistic that the only problem we'll have with this refrigerator is the handle issue and that GE will resolve the handle issue speedily.

Of course the old fridge was 20+ years old, but this one is awesome. Just what I was looking for. The inside water dispenser was a bonus, didn’t really need it but now I have it I love it.

Overall the fridge is nice and spacious, but the outside has some rust spots. Had the fridge for only 3 years. Only ever cleaned it with stainless steel cleaner.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

While we're glad you think the model is spacious and enjoy it overall, we do hate to hear you've had an issue with rust spots. We know anything disrupting the appearance of your appliance would be concerning and would like to help.
While it is unfortunately possible for the steel to rust over time, 'surface rust' can also often be removed, using either a paste made from a mix of baking soda and water, or a cleaner that contains oxalic acid; one example is Bar Keepers Friend Soft Cleanser. If you use baking soda and water, a cloth or soft bristle brush should be used to rub the paste in the direction of the grain. After the surface is clean, rinse with clean water using a soft cloth, and apply a stainless steel cleaner. If you use Bar Keepers Friend, use only the liquid cleanser that is free of grit, and rub in the direction of the metal grain using a damp soft sponge.
