Great Choice

This refrigerator is excellent in design and function. Tons of storage in both refrigerator and freezer, and the number of door shelves allows you to put common items together.
There are two things that could be improved, in my opinion... The "control" to turn the ice make on/off is difficult to reach, in the deep left corner of the freezer. Basically have to get down on your hands and knees, then stretch to reach it. Also, the water dispenser seems to deliver a small amount of cold water (maybe 4-6 ounces) then is basically room temp.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Works great so far, feels cheap

It’s amazing to me that one can spend this kind of money and be afraid to touch the machine for fear that some flimsy plastic part will break. Be especially careful of that crazy mullion closure design and make sure you don’t close it in the wrong position. Installer was nice enough to point that out, very expensive to fix. Also dealer sold me a unit that didn’t fit so I had carpentry to do.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The refrigerator is of good size, it is a little noisier than I would have thought, but maybe it will quiet down as it is broken in. Overall, satisfied.

What We Were Looking For

We had a difficult time finding a refrigerator that met our needs and was quiet enough for our open kitchen/living space. We purchased a side by side model that was similar to a model that we were replacing but could not believe how loud and annoying the fan motor was and that it ran almost continuously. We returned that model and went with this GE Refrigerator.
This model provided MUCH more space and produced a much lower volume from the fan(s) that do not run nearly as often/long.
The amount of space will help us out with catering for larger groups in our home.
It is truly a delight to open the doors and see all the space.
We wish the doors closed with a little less effort but overall we are extremely pleased with the product.

This is the loudest, most annoying refrigerator! It makes the strangest noises at times, way too loud and way too much racket! It’s driving us crazy for real.

I’m so happy we got this refrigerator/freezer. I had no idea how outdated my old one was. This is spacious, and lots of functions that I’ve never had before. Has fresh filtered water dispenser, fresh, filtered ice, cube maker, and lots of room with a sliding draw in the freezer draw.
