C0mpared to the Whirlpool similar model, the GE does not seem to have as good a design. The interior water system is a joke. Coiled up tubing zip tied together as compared to an interior tank. Can't get more than one glass of semi-cold water. And it's much noisier. Had I know all this plus the 3 months we had to wait for it, we would have replaced the compressor in our old refrigerator.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Big Refrigerator

Big and roomy. Has all the room needed for an assorted array of leftovers. I have an thermometer in the freezer and even though it is set at 0 degrees it only gets to 15 degrees. We don't use the icemaker and water in the refrigerator feature because statistically those are the most frequent breakdowns. Overall it is a nice quiet big refrigerator. Finger prints are easily removed from the doors surface using water and dish soap.
I would recommend this to a friend!

More than enough storage space and fits in our kitchen. Relatively quiet with bright lights and easy accessibility, far better than our old top freezer model. One nit: had to call customer service to learn how to turn off in-freezer icemaker. Otherwise fine.
