Refrigerator worked fine for 18 months. Thank goodness I have an extended warranty I am waiting for my fifth service call in 3 months By the time its done the service technician will have replace most parts I gather. Albeit we are in a pandemic, parts that are needed are of course back ordered 3-4 weeks (example parts ordered early October available in November and parts ordered in December hopefully sometime by the 3rd week in January 2021. The problem is that the freezer can not be relied on to not freeze up The refrigerator sounds as if its ready to take off down a runway when too much ice accumulates.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the french doors!

We love the fact that there is no more bending down to get what we want out of the refrigerator. The french doors make it easy to get food in and out. The interior light is bright and makes finding items much easier. The bottom freezer drawer is easy to use and holds more then our traditional refrigerator/freezer did.

This stopped making ice six months after I purchased it. So, I turned the icemaker to "off", but the power light stayed on. No ice cubes but sheets of ice were forming on the back of the cabinet wall. Then, the bottom drawer became frozen shut. The repairman couldn't access the area to repair. To defrost it, I had to turn off power to entire unit yet 72 hours later and it still hasn't defrosted. Obviously, I've lost all food in refrigerator and freezer. FYI GE does not have a person whoowners can talk to for simple advice...even when product is under the one-year warranty.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very Nice Looking Fridge

I really like the look of this fridge. This is my first bottom freezer.
I feel like I lost some freezer space and fridge space.
I really like that the door bins are all large enough to hold a gallon of milk.
I wish the internal water dispenser had a "hold" button so I don't have to press it until my glass is full. I also wish it had the option to fill a pitcher of water.
Other than that, this fridge is top notch!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overall it is a great fridge...

Overall it is a great fridge. The LED lights are fantastic and provide great lighting. My only complaint is that the produce drawers are too narrow/shallow, or just too small. It replaces a GE Profile fridge that made it 15 years.
