Bought this about a month ago in slate- love the slate! I have had compliments on the finish. It stays clean, no fingerprints, looks great in my kitchen. This is a new design for us, French doors are different to us. Getting used to it. It came with plenty of door shelves, we are not using them all to accommodate some taller items into the fridge. The ice drawer and water has been the biggest issue in my house- not a problem, but adjustment. Family likes cold water from inside the fridge, button is a little touchy. I like more room inside the fridge and having a larger amount of ice in the freezer. I read a review that the ice can fall out of the basket into the bottom of the freezer and that does happen. Little difficult to see what is in the freezer because it is all on top of everything else in the freezer. But the smaller drawer is nice for quick and frequent items. I also find that when we pull out the freezer drawer, sometimes we pull the whole fridge away from the wall because the wheels make it easy to move. Otherwise, shelves are great, plenty of storage. I would buy it again!

Not working right, freezer stops

Bad, my freezer made my Ice cream melt.. Its not functioning right. I am sorry I chise this stupid Refrigerator. I could have chosen diff. Brand name.

Just what the Doctor (wife) Wanted

Amazingly we were looking at a smaller and more expensive unit
for a very small and limited space in an old kitchen. The spouse was
excited about the non-stainless steel look and the features. Love the
water filter and the ice makes is "spot on" with good ice making for
the many iced teas we drink throughout the day.
Exceeded our expectations so far!

Overall a very good refrigerator

The stainless really picks up your finger prints but it's expected. The biggest issue i have is the water dispenser, you have to press the button with one hand while holding your glass with the other. I think the button should be mounted under the dispenser so you can just push your glass on the button, allowing you to fill it with just one hand....overall a very nice refrigerator.

I bought my GE refrigerator on July 7th 2017 and had it installed yesterday July 20th 2017. I purchased it online, in the store, sight unseen. I researched for 3 days and checked for brand reliability, ratings and reviews from several sites and checked Consumer Reports as well. After eliminating the stupid complaints and complements, ie: "I hate the color so I give it one star or I love the color so I give it 5 stars.", I compared the two and found that this particular fridge did very well. I have had it less than 24 hours so I am giving it top ratings at this time. I will report back every 6 months on performance or sooner if I run into any problems. For my immediate thoughts I am pleased with the appearance. It has an inside filtered water dispenser which I like. Contrary to others complaint, you can use a thick rimmed glass if you hold it lower and against wall rather than try to shove it under dispenser tubing. The freezer ice maker is making ice well. The baskets are plastic rather than wire like some and I will report later on how they hold up. I chose not to get an on the door ice and water dispenser. I personally do not want to lose inside space to accommodate one and have never been particularly impressed with their ratings. The refrigerator is cooling well and you can turn off the door alarm if you do not need it in your home.

Do Not Overlook This Refrigerator!

I have always wanted a french door refrigerator. After looking at various models and brands we decided on this one. It is hands down one of the best refrigerators out there. We bought this in the slate finish. It is sleek and best of all, no fingerprints! The best part of this fridge are the doors; you can open and close either one without having to use a specific side first. We also like that the storage on the door is not taken up by some bulky water dispenser. There is plenty of storage throughout the entire fridge and freezer. We have also found that our produce stays much better in this fridge which is a huge plus seeing as how we often had to throw out much of our produce in a short storage time previously.
Overall, I would say you cannot go wrong with this model. It is awesome!

What's not to like?

We bought this GE GNE25JGKWW refrigerator 3 months ago, and are very happy with it. It has a clean sleek appearance, and is so quiet you hardly know it's running! It has lots of room inside, plenty of storage draws, and the deep shelves on the doors are great. The filtered water on the inside tastes great & it's very cold. It makes plenty of ice. I really like the feature where a portion of the top shelf slides back, for storing even more tall items. The LED lights on the top & sides really look nice too, and make it so easy to spot whatever it is that your looking for inside. I can't think of anything I would change in this refrigerator.

Love the Design and Features

I purchased this GE refrigerator after researching online any and all customer reviews I could find. It had a good review history and was in my price range. I was delighted to find this style - Haven't shopped for an appliance for quite a few years and loved the French Doors with the Freezer on the bottom. My Dad used to always say upright freezers would let the cold fall out whenever you opened them. Well, I now finally have a "chest" freezer and the cold won't be falling out anymore Dad! LOL I LOVE that the water dispenser is inside and not outside in the door. The last 2 refrigerators I had, had the ice and water dispensers in the front door. Before you knew it the outside of the door was rusting. Once it started, it moved quickly down the front of the door, not attractive at all. I also like that it has a nice size ice bin I can reach. I'm short and have had issues in the past when wanting to scoop some ice. I prefer not to have the ice dispenser so am happy with the bin only.
Love the sliding shelf that slides in for extra tall items! Very handy during the holidays. The drawers are big and beautiful and the lighting! OMG! you open the doors and it's like .."AAHHHH" (Angels singing) I can actually see everything on every shelf! Nothings hiding anymore. It's so nice and bright, beautifully lit.
I was able to get it in black to match my other appliances. I was kinda worried, because black doesn't seem as popular as it once was and during my research noticed other Brands didn't carry black. So I was relieved when I settled on this model by GE and delighted to find out my fav store carried it in black, but not all stores did.
I'm very pleased with my purchase and look forward to many happy years of service from it.
