Best Tasting Water, Quiet, Well-Appointed + Color!

I did not buy this fridge for the water dispenser. In fact, I avoid fridges with built in Water/Ice dispenser as they are typically dirty/hard to clean to keep it sanitary. This one includes a GE Filter (not cheap to refill - negative) that filters out, it claims everything you'd expect PLUS pharmaceuticals in your city water. AND I love the inside dispenser. The water tastes absolutely wonderful as if you'd gotten it from a high mountain stream.
As for the rest, we love how quiet it is.
1. VERY VERY QUIET. Excellent!
2. SLATE COLOR a plus: Love it. Never did like the Stainless and white and black or too extreme. Most tasteful, blends well and complements our dark hardwood floors and slate floors. Can see it blending better into most kitchens than the stainless, white or black.
3. Love the height of the see through crisper and deli bins/drawers, although I could do with a bit deeper veggie/fruit bins at expense of shelf space. They are really too small to accommodate the fruits/veggies we have and too small proportionately for a 24.7cu ft fridge.
4. The space in the fridge and doors combined otherwise is well situated between shelves and door shelves. Like the solid bottom door shelving (Many fridges have just bars which is a bad design).
5. The freezer has top shelf sliding and bottom bin. We keep what we use most on the top shelf and rarely need go into the bottom.
6. Note: for Energy Efficiency the french doors have a rubber strip between the doors. I understand this, but I'm wondering how long that strip will last given the constant opening and closing of the doors.
7. Measuring Idiosyncrasy: Lastly, and importantly: the top plastic 'hinge' is integrated into the temperature setting computer component. You cannot take it off and it goes across the top of the fridge and is quite deep. In other words, This fridge is taller than you would expect given the specs for height provided and you will not likely be able to push it back all the way . We will have to cut off the bottom trim of our cupboard to push it back another 4 inches due to the depth of the hinge which was not expected. . Never seen a 'hinge' this deep or this wide.
All in all, very happy with it so far.

I have had this refrigerator for less than a year and the freezer is thawing completely for the second time. Now have to have a service call to see what the problem is. Only warranties for a year and after that repairs are out of pocket for a brand new appliance. Had my last fridge for 16 years. Not happy.

Great after 2 months

We bought this to match the stainless appliances after moving to a new house. At our last house, we had the same fridge but in white (and 10 years older). We loved the old one and the new one is great also. Most of the features are the same. I like the redesigned ice maker, though sometimes it gets a bit carried away and makes too much ice for the bin. I love the door alarm silence button, which is handy when loading in groceries. Tons of room, the lighting inside is great. Pretty easy to keep clean if you buy some of the stainless steel cleaning wipes.

Loudest thing in the house

I have had the my refridgerator barely 2 months. I love the color and most everything about it. The noise is crazy. I can hear over a room fan and tv. I paid extra for the matching dishwasher with the stainless interior so I couldn't hear it run. That was a waste.

For the most part, I've always had the traditional side by side fridge with water/ice in the door. While shopping for the same, I saw this fridge in slate. First and foremost, I am sold on the French Door with Bottom Freezer setup. It allows for better organization of food in the refrigerator section, and with the ice maker in the bottom freezer, rather than the door, a lot of extra room is free'd up to organize things. The slate finish is perfect --- I much prefer it over the stainless steal finish and it is as quiet or quieter than any fridge I've owned.

Horribly designed

Worst fridge ever! It is designed awkwardly--had to throw out a lot of food & condiments when transferring from the old fridge with the same cubic feet. Shelving cannot be moved to a convenient height. Sounds like a plane taking off. If food is near the back of the fridge it freezes. The manner in which the protective plastic is adhered has caused several bits of plastic to be stuck in the seal--I cannot remove it

Great Fridge with Some Issues

The fridge looks great and has enough space for our needs. Problem is, a month after we got it, the freezer started making noise. After doing some online research I started looking at some suggestions and the back wall of the freezer was iced up. I defrosted and it worked a little better foir a short time. I then called for service. I had some ideas of the cause since others had the problem. When the technician came though, he said it was low on refrigerant (probably from the factory he said). I was skeptical at the diagnosis but that was about 3 months ago and all is well. If not for that problem, I'd give it 5 stars.

I'm on my 2nd fridge. And I returned the first because it was making noise. 2nd one wasn't any diff. If you aren't hooking it up to a water line don't bother buying this fridge.
