Good Refrigerator

We bought this refrigerator 8 weeks ago. Overall we are happy with it, except for the shelving on the inside of the refrigerator. The two center shelves slip off their runners. Because of this, the shelves can be less than sturdy when placing something other than a light item on the shelves. This affects the center shelves the most.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible Experience With This Fridge So Far

I bought this last year during a Labor Day event at one of the big box retailers. Due to the completion of construction, we didn't install it until a few months later. Now, after approximately 7 months of use, I have a big stainless steel box in my kitchen that has some issues. The first service call was about a month ago, because the unit started making sounds like a rumbling freight train over the course of about a week. The tech came and corrected a weld issue that he said was a manufacturing defect and was causing the unit to build up ice and short cycle. Short cycling, by the way, is a bad thing for a compressor over even a short amount of time if it keeps on happening. Anyway, that first service call fixed the problems for almost a full four weeks (yes, just one month), but--alas--the fridge is back at it's old antics again this week. I hope the tech who comes to try to fix it has a more long-term solution (and I'm glad I have an extended warranty through the big box store beyond 1 year). But I'm skeptical and worried I have a lemon. Is anyone else having these issues with this particular model? I used to buy GE appliances almost exclusively, and they worked very well, but the quality of this new refrigerator is making me very nervous.

Love that the water option is inside so kids don’t make a mess. love the space In the refrigerator, but wish the freezer had just a lil more room.
