I have had this for a few weeks and LOVE it!! It's got a lot of space and is very organized! I love the water dispenser inside and the ice bin fills up quickly! The slate is the way to go... does not show fingerprints and looks amazing!

roomy fridge; awkward water dispenser and drawers

I had no say in the purchase of this refrigerator, as I do not own my home. It is a very spacious, well-lit refrigerator, though freezer space seems inadequate. I like the easy access to ice in the top freezer drawer. I hate the internal water dispenser--the spout is too short and too close to the refrigerator wall, making it hard to fill larger containers such as a coffeemaker carafe or iced tea jar, and having the refrigerator door open for the 30 seconds or more it takes to fill a larger container seems wasteful. It's also not nearly as convenient as an external--in addition to having to open the refrigerator door, it requires two hands, whereas my old external only required one. The dispenser button is finicky--you have to hold it down quite firmly or it quits dispensing. The full-width drawer is awkward, since you have to have both doors open to use it. The half-width drawers don't have much depth for a full head of lettuce. I also would have preferred more height adjustments for the shelves, and apparently the shelves are not spill-proof. Doors require more effort to open and close--they will not close by themselves. Altogether the French door system seems to have few advantages and many drawbacks--unless you mostly use the items stored on the doors. And I really wish people still made smaller refrigerators--this thing is so deep it blocks adjacent cabinets, and when I went to see what alternatives there were, could find no reasonably priced and sized alternative with an external dispenser.

The best things about the refrigerator are the door alarm, storage options, lighting and appearance. The bottom door baskets are ineffective and hard to use.
The best things about the freezer is the even freezing throughout, nice ice cube size and shape and the drawer is easy to pull out. However the on/off switch of the ice cube maker is next to impossible to access and the top drawer is a pain to have to push back in order to get to the bottom drawer. It would be nice to have it push back automatically as you open the drawer.

The refrigerator is amazing, Even though the door alarm is annoying at times it a good feature. Even though we. have only had it short time it will be enjoyed for years to come

Nice refrigerator

Old 29" refrigerator was on its way out. Limited space in the kitchen configuration. this GE model had everything I wanted as well as being a 33" model since a 36" would not fit. Very limited selection for 33". GE had it all and the price was excellent.
