I've only had it short of 1 month but the refrigerator is great. Clean look with internal ice and water features and spacious enough for everything our family needs. Plenty of adjustable door compartments (4 on each side) for bottles, jugs, and cans plus separate vegetable and fruit drawers and a full-length general purpose drawer for things like yogurt, meats, and cheeses. Love the dual freezer compartments. Smaller for easy access to items like hot dogs or frozen dinners, and the larger area for everything else. this is a small intended or unintended element but I love and need it: the fridge has enough of a ledge inside and over the freezer compartment where you can set things if you need to move something out of your way. Most would probably set something on top of the fridge and possibly forget it (been there, done that). In terms of noice, the ice dispenser and the fridge is generally very quiet. I've only heard it 1 time since the unit was installed. The Con which is not the worst, is that the stainless steel shows up everything. You spend a lot of time wiping the unit off.

We bought this a couple months ago and are very happy with the amount of space. Our kitchen set up limits the fridge size, so we didn't have a lot of choices. This one fit perfectly. My only issue is the one fridge drawer squeaks, and sometimes the door when you close it. Nothing major, but it is noticeable.

Bought refrigerator when old one died. While the new one is 1/2 cu. ft. smaller, there is room left over when loaded with the same amount of food. And, it is much easier to find things in this refrigerator. We're very happy with it.

Great Refrigerator, Removing Plastic Difficult

After looking at several refrigerators we decided to update our 18 year old refrigerator with this GE refrigerator. Great features, especially the slide back Quick Space shelf. It would be nice if the Quick Space shelf slid back a bit more to accept plastic pitchers, but they fit when slanted a bit. Fit and finish look good and it is nice and quiet. Great features abound, but the instructions leave a bit to be desired. There is no explanation of how the Turbo Cool shuts off on its own, (because it doesn't), and no explanation on when to turn it off after activated. There are instructions, (online), on how to take care of the stainless steel outer finish, but there are three other finishes that need to be addressed in the instructions, but are not. Only a Quick Use & Care Guide is included, printed on paper that is thinner than newsprint. GE wants you to go to their website for the full instructions, which is great as long as you have a computer. Now, probably the worst part; the front of the refrigerator, doors and freezer drawer are wrapped in plastic to protect the finish. A great idea, I agree, but the actual execution will make it difficult to remove. The factory wraps the painted surface and then the trim pieces are attached afterward, capturing the plastic in-place. When you try to peel it off it tears, leaving chunks of plastic along every visible edge around the doors and drawer. It took over an hour with a toothpick and my fingernail to remove the plastic, or shove the plastic under the trim so it wasn't visible. Please GE, this is simple to fix, wrap it after the trim is installed. Barring these minor issues, my wife and I look forward to a long reliable relationship with our new refrigerator.

This fridge is perfect in our kitchen - great size and all the features are wonderful! We love using it. We especially love that it beeps when it's been left open too long, it alerts us in case we didn't close it all the way!
