Nice, but not perfect

This is a good choice if you are looking for a reasonably priced 33" french door unit. Now that we've had ours 3 months, I've learned a few things about it and myself. Having the fridge on top is so convenient, I love it. It has a lot of space which is great. I wish the doors could be configured a little better. There are two small shelves at the bottom of the doors that hold small items and you can't see them without squatting down. Minor issue, just put stuff there you rarely use. Next annoyance is all three drawers squeal every time you open or close them. I didn't notice this at the store, but I sure do now. I like the shelf that pushes back for tall items, I use it often. It's great to have a filtered water dispenser and it doesn't take up lots of space like the in-door water/ice units. We don't use lots of ice, so preferred to keep it in the freezer. However, this ice maker does have a tendency to spill ice cubes out of the tray into the back of the freezer shelf. Again, not a big problem, but sometimes annoying. And lastly is purely a matter of taste. As a practical person, I have found that it doesn't make sense to have 2 doors doing what 1 door used to do. You open 2 doors to get into the same space and you have to make sure you push both doors closed all the way, even with food in your hands. My office has regular bottom-freezer units with single doors and they glide closed on their own. This one you either have to hold onto until it is closed or swing it so hard you think you're going to slam it so it doesn't bounce back open.

I love the exterior slate finish - much better than stainless steel, both for cleaning and appearance. LED lighting is excellent for finding things quickly, and the frig and freezer both hold everything I need for one person. Larger households might find the freezer a little small. Overall, I would buy the same model again. It makes more noises than others I've had, but nothing I can't live with. Temperature remains steady and keeps things cold.

Love having freezer below!

Have had this a couple of months. Love the slate color, no smudges like stainless steel (except the handles are stainless steel) With the fridge up top you get a better view of contents, good lighting, it is nice and big. With lower freezer you can look down into it and see everything that's in there, nothing hidden. I like that it has a
shelf in it as well.
