We bought this refrigerator in January when we moved to our townhouse. We love it! Everything fits wonderfully and the bottom freezer holds more than our previous side-by-side.

I had a foreign made French door 36"fridge in my former home and was dreading having to downsize to 30, but i knew I wanted a French door. Was tickled that GE had one and in slate. Frankly not missing space. Recommend.

ice maker, inside water dispenser, turbo cool

Had great difficulty actually having refrigerator delivered, but once I did receive it I love it. It is so spacious and love the inside water dispenser and the warning if the door has been left open by a kid. Plus I love the new color slate.

My old refrigerator died, first one i chose was delivered to the house and did not fit in the space although it measured correctly. Had to get this one as they do not make the one I liked in a smaller version, this was a second choice. I like the double doors on the front, but they don't close easily, keep swinging open. Freezer is OK but the ice maker does not have a wire to stop making ice, so you have to get on your knees, open the drawer all the way and reach way in the back to actually turn off the ice maker- very poor design. Love the slate vs stainless as it does not show the finger prints BUT shows all the dust !!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

NEW ITEM ABOUT 4 MONTHS OLD. EVERYTHING SEEMS TO BE WORKING FINE. ONLY CON WOULD BE ICE MAKER TOO BIG TAKES UP MORE ROOM IN FREEZER

I always wanted a French Door refrigerator with a bottom drawer freezer, and I finally got one. I am amazed by how well-lit it is and how easy it is to find what I'm looking for in the upper fridge compartments. It is well -organized and I like the temperature controls. I have had it for about 6 months and we like it a lot. ONE thing I wish is that the doors would close softly and automatically - they require quite a push to get over whatever it is that holds them open, while you rummage around looking for stuff. ANOTHER THING, the freezer drawer doesn't hold as much as I thought it would, and sometimes, frozen items drop out of the freezer onto the floor, from between the inside of the door and the freezer basket drawers, through the open bottom, when it's pulled all the way out, and (I don't know how many other consumers may have noticed this safety issue but VERY DANGEROUSLY), my small cat almost got into the very bottom of the area under the freezer drawer, when he tried to crawl underneath the drawer and into the back of the freezer - because the sides and bottom are completely open (and he would have fit - so this is a safety issue for small and curious pets). My husband might have liked one less cat in the house, but this would have been devastating to me and my little girl. Otherwise, I do like this appliance and will buy another bigger one without an open freezer drawer (if possible) in the future.
