[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was disappointed to learn that GE no longer made the 33" wide Profile Refrigerator. However I am happy with the new GE Refrigerator. I did have to remove an existing overhead cabinet since the standard height of refrigerators is more than the 68" height of the old appliance purchased in 2008. The new GE refrigerator makes more noise when generating ice and more noise when using the water dispenser.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Color/Finish in Slate is perfect!

The finish is perfect and shows NO fingerprints (slate) and it has a lot of clever design inside it so it seems so roomy! I also like the little water dispenser nestled into the side of the fridge and taking up zero room.

After replacing a 30 year old hot point that never failed this new refrigerator is always making noise, freezing up and now not working. Constantly needs to be defrosted and always loosing food.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

For the issue with the appliance freezing up, we recommend making sure the temperature sensor isn’t blocked. More details about how to address this issue are available in this article: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=23002
If the refrigerator doesn’t seem to have power at all, we recommend disconnecting it from power for a couple of minutes before reconnecting. Great Purchase
