Wow - 4K picture from 1080

At this price, cannot imagine a better TV! To me, picture is undetectable inferior to 4K; LED backlight seems to enhance 1080, and Motionflow is great.
I am very pleasantly surprised how many channels are available in Sony Entertainment Network.
Only negative, not that important - our home internet speed is too slow to access PS3 games. (good reason to upgrade our internet)
I would recommend this to a friend!

Mostly Satisfying

Everything seems promising about this t.v. except for the black level problems with floodlight like brightness on both sides of the screen which are only noticeable in dark scenes but very distracting. Since this is a new model, I hope Sony has a fix for this so I can keep it.

It's a good one!

Our not so old tv died so it was time to buy a new one.. A local store that carries Sony had 6 TV's on display plus 4 other brands. We chose the 950 because of the picture quality and what we think is better sound. Lots of bells and whistles: 3d, smart tv, Sony play and other stuff that I don't really care about. To me its picture and sound. We watch a lot of racing, football, soccer and this tv does a great job with all of them. The sound is adjustable by listening mode and/or equalizer and it works.
We love it. You can spend more and get 4k, but we decided not to go that route yet
I would recommend this to a friend!

I mean its loaded with features
the playstation feature is nice
Overall good tv I watch mostly sports

The picture quality on this TV is nothing short of excellent and the sound is also very good. This is also the only TV where I actually like the preset picture modes. The only thing that I would change would be a little more consistency in how the local dimming works across the different picture modes.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this a few month's ago, And let me say....WOW!
Great picture. It was between this one and the Samsung led.
And I'm happy I chose this one. I love everything about it.
