Quietest Window Unit Ever

I love this window unit. Easy install. I couldn't believe how quiet it runs. Cools the entire living room. WOW!!!

Not falling in love...yet

We had a different AC for last year and it was not working properly so it led us to look for a new one. The demands I had was that it be of good quality, have a temperature setting, be energy efficient, have a remote and COOL! We looked at a few local stores and landed on the LG, what I feel to be a trusted brand. We purchased this model and I am feeling "okay" with the purchase. I'm not completely smitten because I feel that if I have it on it should be ICY cold...but I have yet to experience that and it's in our very small bedroom. Not sure if it's user error? But we're thinking of a return for a "bigger" unit?! I do like the features it offers I just wish it got a little colder and I've had no complaints about it's noise level. I think it's very quiet and if we were to return we'd go for a larger LG. Just wishin I was in LOVE....

Good AC, Loud

The AC works just fine. Installation is a breeze if you know the business end of a drill. Only gripe is that its loud so don't use it where you have a tv. That's the main reason it doesn't get 5 stars, I'm sure you can find a different AC with the same btu and price but much quiter

loose nut

As I was finally placing the unit in the window, I noticed a rattle. Upon inspection there is a loose nut in the unit probably from a compressor hold down bolt. Of the two I could see it wasn't one of them. Late evening, hot and 25 miles from the store so in the window it went. A little noisier than I would like, but not sure if the nut has any effect. It is what it is - a cheap bedroom cooler. I do like the remote. Can't adust the air flow up or down, but that's no big deal.

Unit is nice for the price and I had no issues installing. However, I would recommend carefully reviewing unit before you install it. I notice the back grate of the one I purchased had the metal fins bent. It looks like the unit was hit in several places and easily bent the metal air intake on the back outside of the unit.
Remote control is nice to have and timer additionally.
Pros: easy to use
