Not what I expected from LG!

The cooling is great but the vibration and noise levels are abhorrent. You can't watch tv in the room without turning the volumn extremely high. In fact, sitting in the room for extended periods becomes impossible because of the irritating noise.
Pros: easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This air conditioner was put in our attic which is also our daughters' bedroom. The windows are very small so finding one that fits in the window and is powerful enough to cool the entire room wasn't easy. This one works perfectly and fits perfectly!! We have no complaints about it and my daughters haven't said anything about it being loud. We will definitely purchase LG again.

Good AC but quite noisy

My central AC went out this summer and I needed something fast. This unit totally suited the small bedroom I used it in but I have to say it's very loud and noisy, which really surprised me. Every time the compressor kicked in, it woke me up. It did cool the room quickly but if you need a quiet unit, this may not be the best one for you.
Pros: easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This was my first time buying a small window unit. My yard building has small windows and this was the best fit for me to use. I looked at alot but all were too wide. It is Quiet and it is nice to have the remote- very handy indeed! Makes my storage/workshop very comfortable-enough to be my man cave.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

Excessively Loud, Bad Control

This is a VERY loud air conditioning unit. I would not recommend it to anyone for use in a room that they want to nap, sleep, etc.
Additionally, the noises are inconsistent, because it has a power-saving function that you cannot disable. Thus, if you want the a/c to pump out 74 degree air, it will only do so until the thermostat in the unit thinks that your entire room has reached that temperature, then it will automatically shut off or switch from "cool" to "dry" mode. This causes a sudden, drastic shift in the noise output which will wake even the soundest sleepers from their slumber!
Buyers beware.
Pros: cheap
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the system
