I am a true otterbox fan i went from the commuter which i thought was slim to the symmetry which is definitely slim and allows my phone to still fit in the phone pckets of my purse with less bulk and more protection the designs are embedded in the case so it wont scratch off please continue with the great patterns and color ... i trust otterbox with my samsung 7

I really like the case, however... it takes up color really easily, so if I slide my phone with a tan case into my jeans I end up pulling out a phone with a blue case... I love the clear back as it lets me still see my pretty gold phone, but it already has a lot of scratches in it, which I didn't think it was supposed to do. It's definitely thin which is great and I sill feel like it provides great protection. I haven't dropped it yet (knock on wood) but I'm really not to worried about the phone breaking if I did. So it's a nice case, just wish it was more scratch-proof and didn't get so dirty so easily. Also, I'm looking at it now and am finding a lot of dirt specs under the case. I do think it's a lot of money for a not-so-perfect case though.

Look pretty but feel less premium

I tried both the Symmetry case and commuter case for Galaxy S7 and the Symmetry model feel a lot more cheap. The vinyl-back is slipery and do not offer a nice grip like the commuter. It's also more slim and offer no room to keep the screen from resting on the hardsurface if you leave the phone face down, ending in possible scratch and damage.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Symmetry is slimmer than the Commuter but it does still have a raised beveled edge to help protect the touchscreen. We assure you that the Symmetry is made of the same quality materials as the Commuter, just in a different configuration.

I have been buying Otter Boxes for my family for many years. I like the quality of the products to protect all our smart phones. My personal favorite is the Symmetry cases. The not bulky, but still protects my smartphone style. The rolled front keeps the screen from touching a surface protecting it from damage and keeps it clean. My young adult kids tried another case and had to repair and replace a smartphone. We are all sold on Otter Box cases!
