love ventless dryer

I have had this dryer for about 3 months and was concerned about other reviewers saying dryer broke soon after purchase. I like the dryer very much because it is ventless. My laundry room is up stairs and has no outside wall for a dryer vent, builders cut a hole in the floor of the laundry to just let the dryer vent tube hang down into the garage for the 10 to 12 feet venting lint and moisture into the garage, what a mess. Also most dryers do not have much on the back to hook and secure that vent, so it was always half on and half off spewing lint in the laundry and house as well as in the garage, so it looks like heavy dust everywhere. So the first thing with this dryer I noticed, was how clean and dust free the laundry room was and still is after 3 months. It takes a little longer but I never stay right there waiting for a load to get done. Also, I live in the humid south, so summer time if I left the dried load in the dryer overnight with the old dryers that the vent tube running down into the garage, the clothes were damp and wet from the humidity coming up the vent tube into the dryer. With this new whirlpool eventless dryer, if I can't get to the dried load until the next day and the clothes stay in the dryer overnight, there is no problem, Wonderful, the clothes are dry waiting for whenever I get to them. I love this dryer. I clean both filters every time. It has a signal to alert when the bottom filter needs cleaning, book says in about 4 or 5 loads but I do it every time, thought maybe less strain on the dryer. Inside filter just like alot of machines where the door opens and drum is, easy to open the filter and wipe lint out, but do be careful putting filter back in, it only goes one way and if you put it in the wrong way, it will break a flap. Some machines the filter could go in either way. The outside filter is not hard either. I pull it out ,I have a small brush, like a very small dust pan broom, and brush it off both sides , then middle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've been using this dryer for over a month and it does a good job. Since it's ventless the room will heat up somewhat but that's still better than sending your conditioned air out the dryer vent line as with a conventional model. My only complaint, which has been mentioned in numerous reviews, is the access door to the filter will not close. It's cheap plastic and right out of the box it would not stay closed. Not a big deal but you hope the internals are better made. Small stuff like this can lead to an overall bad impression.

needs more heat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish I could rant and rave about this dryer. Unfortunately, it does not stand out as an alternative to vented gas dryers. I was forced to purchase a ventless, electric dryer due to living circumstances. This machine fit the build. It's probably better than a condensation dryer, but I couldn't compare, since I have never owned one. Compared to vented gas dryer, it's night and day. Gas dryers will annihilate this dryer in a heat fight. Everything else about features of dryer seem fine. Haven't used any of them. Just wanted my clothes dry.

Stay Away

I bought this dryer takes several hours to dry one load. Third time on repairs by Lowes with errors E8, F3, F1, F8 and several more I cannot remember. Save your money and do not buy this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very Impressive

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this dryer in our new home for three weeks now. I've been very impressed with it's sensors and ability to stop the drying when the item was dry though the timer indicated otherwise. It has taken some trial and error to learn how to program for the best results. However, I am very pleased with the appliance. I only refrain from a 5 star because I am waiting to see how it will impact our energy bill in the coming month.
