Won't turn on

We just bought this dryer. It will not turn on. Do the moisture sensors make it so clothing needs to be wet for it to dry?

Great Features!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my dryer about a month ago. I also bought the pedistal which I highly recommend. I love not having to bend over and crawl in to get clothes in the back. The best feature is the start button requires only to lay your finger of the button, No pressure required. The button is what went out on my last dryer.
