Most Aggravating Dryer I've ever owned

Three months ago our old Whirlpool dryer (that I loved) died after many years of service. Our home warranty company replaced it with this new model, and I hate it! This is the most frustrating, poorly designed machine imaginable. Using the automatic settings, which are supposed to sense the level of dampness in the drum; it either runs forever -cooking my clothing, or shuts off after only a short time leaving very wet laundry to sit. The lint catch is designed to dump all the lint back into the drum when you pull it out. The drum design is amazingly good at rolling big items like sheets or blankets into neat and tight rolls that are very hot on the outside and cold and wet on the inside. Although the most irritating thing may be that the simple act of turning off the cycle signal apparently takes a degree in rocket science (which I do not have). I am a pretty smart woman, but I have yet to figure out how this is done. There are 4 'choices' for signal settings (all of which sound similar and have the same volume), they are not explained in the manual, and none of them seem to be "off." I am found "off" occasionally at random or by threatening to shoot the machine, but not through any act of intelligence on my part. But it usually involves making lots and lots of signal noise first -which was the exact opposite of what I was trying to do. I have never hated an inanimate machine before, this is a first for me; but I really hate this machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
