liked my old Duet that was 10 years better

My 10 year old Duet malfunctioned several days ago. Since it was 10 years old everyone talked me out of fixing it. Sorry I listened but that is what happens when you need something quick. I don't know who came up with the design of the lint trap. This machine was not tested much. It sticks out so far the clothes get stuck on it maybe only momentarily does seem like a good thing. So far not impressed with the quad baffles. The tap touch controls well you better tap them in the right spot or they will not respond. I am having trouble remembering the handle is built into the ring around the window awkward ! NO light inside even my 10 year old one has a light. Maybe I bought a bottom of the line one. we took the old one apart I looked it up on youtube, the directions were inside the machine on how to trouble shoot. Good place for them. we did the tests recommended it appears it is the thermistor. I hope it is not a part that costs less than $ 50. I hope with time I like this model better. It seems to dry okay but sometimes its the little things that make or break how you feel about something.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
