whirlpool duet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] not as happy with this dryer as the duet dryer I had 10 years ago the inside of the glass on the door collects lint hard to remove from the edge of the glass where it meets the door. Also no interior light , thought I would not mess this but I do, So not sure i would buy this again . Whirlpool changed their model and now it is a cheaper looking and the changes reflect that, i am disappointed that I bought Whirlpool.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Time consuming

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you use a programmed drying cycle, this takes lots of time. It does have a cycle in which you can set the number of minutes you wish the dryer to run. This is definitely preferable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dryer does not seem to have a sensor that makes it stop when clothes are dry. It dries well. When stacked the controls can be challenging to reach.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall pretty satisfied with this purchase.Pros: The check vent warning. After we began using the dryer the check vent light came on. We cleaned the vent at the dryer connection but it still came on. Finally we removed the vent cover on the outside of our house and OMG, it was frighteningly packed with lint. I have no doubt it saved us from a potential fire. Our clothes come out almost wrinkle free. It does a great job.Cons:The dryer timer is very misleading. It will display how many minutes are left on the drying cycle but the time changes all the time. For instance; it will show 10 minutes left and after 10 minutes it displays 23 minutes. I understand there is a sensor that readjusts the dry time but it's a little frustrating to think the clothes are almost done but nope! You have to run down to the basement again to check. This is the only reason for four stars. Otherwise it's a great appliance.
