Clock would not stay illuminated had to return,

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this microwave four days ago, The clock would not stay Illuminated had to return for a new Microwave, Another thing I noticed is the frame around the silver door push button is pulling away from the frame. This is an issue I had with the same model I had for over 6 years and LG still has not fixed that issue, other than that the microwave works great.

Would be an awesome product if the door would open

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great microwave at has all the features we need (and quite a few we don't) sensor cooking works well and I would give it 5 starts if I didn't want to bash it with a baseball bat every time I had to use it: the door wouldn't open. It started pretty much from day one - I needed to press the door release button couple times or in a particular place(s) for it to open. By month 10 it sometimes takes 10+ minutes and drives me and my wife nuts. We have it in a wall-mounted configuration (the main reason we chose this model) above our oven and if it get's warm (not hot) after we used the oven it doesn't open at all (which makes me think too weak ejector spring or poor spring steel). The irony is that I bought it to replace the old perfectly working unit because the button would SOMETIMES not work the first couple of times in the old one...
Pros: Style/Design, Features/Settings
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We purchases this microwave Feb. 2013. We are enjoying all the new features. Especially like the defrost, melting butter and reheat features. Hopefully it will live up to its long life and other promised features.

I love my new lg micro, it is perfect for our family. All the features are a plus we dont have to firgure nothing out, just pop it in and press the correct program. But my favorite is the defrost, it is great, defrosting only and not COOKING the meat. I don't know if its me or my micro but it seems as though my popcorn comes out faster than it ever did with all the kernels popped. :) I can't say enough about my micro but then again i do own tvs and airconditioners made by lg because I believe they have the best products on the market.

I had an LG microwave that died recently that was a 1.5 cf versus my new LG's 2.0. That one took 3,000 miles of abusive travel in a moving van and at least 4 more cross-city moves over 5 years. I was impressed enough that I bought the new one. I use it daily for all sorts of things: melting, softening, defrosting, reheating and cooking. I am most happy with it and have recommended this particular microwave to friends and family. A most excellent bargain!!

This microwave performs better than any we have owned in the past.And we were burning through alot of different brands.We use it on a regular basics and everything turns out wonderfully.

My old microwave (28 years) still worked but I figured it was time to update.This new one has great features is fairly simple to operate and has a large capacity.I love it!

Making rattling, arcing sound, display flashes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just over a year, it's rattling inside, we can here an electrical arcing, and now the display flashes bright and then dim. We fear it will die soon and we expected to get more use than 1 year from a brand new lowes purchase.
