This review is of the previous model - 380 . It should be used every day or at least 2-3 times a week to really obtain the benefit of having one at all. This also prolongs battery life.
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Cleans Under Furniture, Deep Cleaning Ability, Hassle Free Operation, I'm Very Glad To Have It
Cons: Can Get Stuck, Does not return to base, Heavy, Loses Charge Quickly, No Programmable Timer, Vacuum Port Can Block

My unit has been replaced many times in the one year I have owned it. This unit need redesign. The handle breaks frequently and one has to buy a whole tank as they don't sell any repair pieces for anything; just wheels, brushes and small exterior things. I currently use it by taking off the broken handle and holding the top down with two large cans of tomatoes from my pantry. (Not funny) I returned the unit three times and now have to purchase another tank. The wheels only last for three months on my tile floors. Way too much stress here... always breaking or stuck against a wall. Hope this comment is not reject by IRobot as it is the truth!

it misses spots, goes over to carpet and I have to remove it , which is annoying! Customer service is excellent though. I may return this because lets face it ,,,it should be 100% ....for the price Im not satisfied. I own the iRoomba which I upgraded to the Allergean version ,I like this. I have 2 dogs!AND allergies. :(-keep up the great work !!!!

Returning Scooba

I have a large townhouse with a very large 1st floor, The entire first floor is very flat with the exception of a 1/4th inch lip from the main room into the kitchen. Half of the first floor is hardwood/linoleom(kitchen) and the other half is carpet(1st floor master&sunroom) I bought the scooba because of all the possitive reviews, I already have a roomba 790 that works great throughout the entire 1st floor. The scooba was a huge letdown in both cleaning ability and obsticle navagation, I had to put the virtual wall up where the hardwood meets the carpeted area because the scooba recognized the carpet as dirt and sat there soaking my carpet, this is probably because the carpet is level with the hardwood floor...no problem. The scooba gets stuck on the 1/4th inch lips leading into and out of my kitchen and needs to be boosted and reset only to get stuck seconds later. The cleaning ability of the scooba is very dissapointing, I've heard of people saying it leaves a little water to be air dried but this thing just dumps the water solution and sucks up nearly nothing. The scooba does not even lift a fresh soda spill off the floor and certainly does not scrub any tough stains or dirt deposites. Keep in mind I always run the roomba first to lift any surface dirt to make it easier on the scooba and the results are still dissapointing. I will be returning this device and mopping my floors by hand from now on.

Was on the waiting list for the first Scoobas to became available. Have been through several over the years. Run 2 in my large home--couldn't maintain it without my scoobas.

I have a vacuum robot (other brand), and one of the things I like the most is that it does recharges itself. iRobot does not seem to cover area, in organized way, it's sorta random, once it leaves the initial circling pattern, and some areas are not covered. Truth is water does last less than the battery so docking is not a show stopper.
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Cleans Under Furniture, Long Run Time
Cons: Can Get Stuck, Does No Dock For Recharge, Need Manual Recharge

I am disabled and was hiring a cleaning service weekly for the cost of 100.00. Now I clean my floors daily. Scooba paid for itself in 1 week.

I use this little creation in my office to clean up the dirt people track in each day. Nice to be able to just roll up the carpets, move a few chairs, shut a few doors and let Scoobie go to work in the night.
