A good product if used with common sense

I bought this because I live on a busy street and have no a/c which means my windows are open all summer long, which means lots of dust. No matter how much I mopped my floors they were always dirty. I decided to try this and if it didn't work get a cleaning lady once a week to come in. The day it arrived I didn't bother to charge it overnight but ran it in my kitchen anyway after the light indicated it was fully charged. I used the cleaner it came with. I moved everything I could out of the way and let it go to work. I have to say about previous complaints... I could tell right away why these people had problems. First, if you don't let the thing finish, you will have water everywhere. It leaves water, then goes back and squeegees it up. If you let it go to the end it might be slightly damp but no not wet. And it will not take until morning to dry at all unless it is not actually finishing the cycle. Maybe 15-20 minutes. We have hardwood laminate everywhere but the bathroom and have no problems. Second, if there is no dirty water in the tank when your scooba is finished, you have a defective unit. There is no way this thing has enough power to warp hardwoods. Just... no. That's coming from something else. Third, the pattern is not random. It seems to be at first but if you watch it for an entire cycle and see what happens you will see it does have a pattern and ends up cleaning everywhere. It isn't good on grout, which I discovered in the bathroom. But it's obvious when you look at the construction of the machine that it's not going to be good on grout. Obviously it doesn't do corners well. But I'd rather only have to do corners with a scrubbing sponge than have to do a whole room! We used to always have black bottoms of our feet from all the grime that comes in. We now run our scooba daily in every room and we do not have this problem anymore. That's proof right there. I love this thing. I wish it could clean my bathtub. I personally don't find it anymore noisy than the average cooling fan for a room, but my husband is a total whiny baby about it and thinks it's incredibly noisy. So this may be a very YMMV issue.
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Cleans Under Furniture, Covers Entire Room, Hassle Free Operation, Long Run Time, Pet Friendly
Cons: Can Get Stuck, Noisy

I can not imagine my life without Scrubbie! The amount of labor, energy, and time he saves us is priceless. My husband wanted Scrubbie to help him after my surgery. I encouraged him, knowing that afterwards Scrubbie would be "mine-all-mine"! Scrubbie cleans better than any human I've met. We have 4 white Persians and our Roomba (Fluffy) picks up all their fluffy white fur off the floor before we sic Scrubbie in the room. Persians have a habit of throwing up fur balls. Now we know that Scrubbie sanitizes after "an event". (It is an especially good thing now with grandchildren crawling on the floors.) What is great about Scrubbie? Ans: Everything! My only regret is that we did not get a Scooba earlier. It is criminal to think of all the time I wasted cleaning floors before Scrubbie arrived in our home. Yey Scrubbie!
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Cleans Under Furniture, Covers Entire Room, Deep Cleaning Ability, Hassle Free Operation, Human Energy Saver, Large Debris Bin, Long Run Time, Pet Friendly, Quiet, Time saver
Cons: Can Get Stuck

I was amazed at the dirt!!

My housekeeper had just mopped the kitchen the day before. I used my Roomba to go back over and remove all of the pet hair etc...(2 dogs). I took this Scooba out of the box, read the quick start steps, filled the tank with water/solution and popped in the battery(I had charged it overnite). WOW!! When I went to empty the dirty water tank, my jaw dropped, literally!! I was blown away at how much dirt and grime was in there. Before I emptied this, I had commented to my wife that the wood looked "shiny and clean." I really don't understand what some people complain about as far as maintenance here, it is really quite simple and for the quality of CLEAN that I get now, it is really worth it. Highly recommend a Scooba to anyone. I own two Roomba's, a Mint and now the Scooba. Happy with them all.

I received Scooter 3 days ago. Set her up and let her charge for a couple of hours. Turned her on and let her go. Results: super loud, crazy looking, goof ball mowing around my floors and freaking out my bunny and my dog and leaving my floors squeaky clean. I couldn't believe how great they looked! I've used it every night. I set her loose and go to bed and in the morning all is perfect once again. Go Scooter!

Worth the money

This works great in my studio apartment with wood/tile flooring. I'm busy and just starting my career and this is the perfect thing for me. The vacuum part of the robot makes this work better than a Swiffer or standard mop. There is nothing you need to buy for it besides the cleaning solution (and it does not need a lot). The only downside is that it's about as loud as a regular vacuum so I can't run it before work without waking the neighbors.
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Cleans Under Furniture, Covers Entire Room, Hassle Free Operation, Long Run Time
Cons: Can Get Stuck

About on fourth one--gets expensive but no cleaning lady but me! Works when needed and doesn't require a tip. Great on floor tile that has grout close to even with height of tile. If floor has sticky residue, simply spray it so it can soak until Scooba gets there and she'll do the rest.
Pros: A Necessity, Cleans Effectively, Cleans Under Furniture, Covers Entire Room, Deep Cleaning Ability, Hassle Free Operation, Large Debris Bin, Long Run Time
Cons: Can Get Stuck, Does Not Clean Stairs

REALLY dissapointed !!! I have used this on sealed hardwood and tile. It DOES clean eventually (with alot of help) but it LEAKS often and it gets stuck and then refuses to start again unless you manually restart it. I have never been able to leave this produck alone ---- seriously NOT once --- and come back to find that it has completed the job. Instead I find it somewhere in the room waiting for my attention to restart it. I also find that when I restart it, it never seems to know where it has been and does not clean the entire room. I have checked for loose fiber or anything that could cause the maching wheels to 'stick' but nothing ever seems to be there. Additionally, the leakage as it is cleaning is equally dissapointing. I have to use a paper towel often (say 8 out of 10) times to clean up after the cleaner lol. It also needs to be refilled during a relatively small clean because of it leaking or applying way too much liquid to the floor. I assumed the first unit was defective now this is my second. They have behaved exactly the same. I am not a hard to please customer. All I wanted was it to not get stuck (sure every once and while but every time??) and be automated at least to the point that if it does get stuck when I reset it, it would finfish the job (know where it has already been) and not need to be refilled 2 on small jobs because it is leaking (at worst) or at a questionabe best applying far too much liquid to the floor. I have tried all the solutions offered by the company to no avail. What also concerns me is that on a purley does it work as stated level this is one of the lowest rated products I see from the company. Most of the reviews I have read are complaing about the same thing and have been for some time if archives of complaints were available --- leaks, restarts, not knowing 'where' it is after te restart. So why in all this time has this products not been redsigned? Sorry to be a down on the company because I think you are a very inventive group and its apparant you took some very 'easy' sounding ideas that were no easy at all and not only made them (almost all) work but also managed to sell them --- so PLEASE fix this one product because it a GREAT idea !!!! GOOD LUCK and no hard feelings.
Pros: Long Run Time
Cons: Can Get Stuck, Frequent Maintenance

Squeegee and pickup could be beefier.

Overall, it's good. Not as "clever" as Roomba in terms of getting around without getting stuck. It would be nice if it had a Roomba self charging station, too. Just suffers in comparison. Scooba's capabilities with Rooba's smarts == fabulous. Other concern is that the solution pick up piece has worn and split in less than a month, say 1/3 of a bottle of solution used. That piece needs to be a little beefier in order to survive bumping its way over grout lines in tile flooring. So I have to lay in a supply of those since they'll likely continue to be an issue. IRoboters: I'd be happy to Beta-test if you come up with a better part ? Dave Go Gators....
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Cleans Under Furniture, Deep Cleaning Ability, Hassle Free Operation, Long Run Time, Pet Friendly
Cons: Can Get Stuck, Noisy, Rubber Parts Wear Quickly
