Have only had this for three days so far, but we've used it three times in the kitchen already, and everywhere else we have hardwood floors. I LOVE it. My husband is raving about how nice the floors feel too. My kids are only two and make a huge mess all the time. Our floors rarely got this clean previously, and this saves me crawling around the floor three times a day. (It still leaves really tough stains behind, but the floors look great.) I've been using it for quick fixes too -- to mop below where my kids have been eating while I clean their highchairs and the table. I had been holding out for a model that sweeps and mops, and this is perfect. We are really happy.
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Cleans Under Furniture, Covers Entire Room, Hassle Free Operation, Long Run Time

It WOULD BE BETTER IF IT HAD A RECHARGABLE BATTERY AS ROOMBA.WHEN IT STOPS YOU HAVE TO LOOK FOR IT. LIKE HIDE AND SEEK. BUT STILL I LOVE IT. ITS MY FAVORITE HELPER.
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Cleans Under Furniture, Covers Entire Room, Long Run Time
Cons: Can Get Stuck, Does Not Clean Stairs, Noisy

Compared to Rmb780 it's a disappointment

1)The wirtual wall of Scooba is not compatible with Roomba, I would expect that all fo them to have same virtual wall, to be able to use will all robots 2)Not "intelligent" as my Roomba 780. It cannot recoginze that he cleaned up a small room, will run till exhaustion. R780 will stop after cleaned up the room and you can place in the next without recharing
Cons: Not Compatible With Roomb
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Perfect for a robot

I purchased it mainly for my kitchen as it needs cleaning almost daily with two little ones (3 and 1 yrs old). The floor has textured tiles so even if I were to clean it myself, would take quite a bit of effort to clean every single grove. Because of the texture, the Scooba does not scrub off dirt in the groves perfectly. The floor is also damp after the cycle BUT would be dry in the morning (if I started before going to sleep). I'd say the result is similar if I were to mop it myself with a steam mop. But definitely not as clean as if I were to scrub it with a sponge... Having said that, the later is not something anyone would rather do. I do think the Scooba is perfect even given its limitation on textured tiles because it does a 'good enough' job for me. I no longer have to mop the floors and cleaning the Scooba is very easy. (takes no more than 5 minutes) After every cycle, the dirty container water is black so I know my floor is cleaner with it. Not to mention all the little debris it also manages to suck up. My only wish is for it to have (perhaps as an accessory) a longer & stiffer brush attachment for textured surfaces.

Cleans well, but not sure it's worth it.

A neat device which cleans pretty well. However, not sure it's worth the cost. The path algorithm is kind of funny, seems rather random. It's not clear that it covers the whole floor equally, or even close. The main downside is that although it sucks up a fair amount of dirty water, a lot of it is left on your floor to evaporate, which is a no-no for some types of hardwood floors. Also, it's loud, and even a medium size floor size takes a good amount of time. So the question you have to ask yourself is whether turning this on and waiting for it to finish a good substitute for a mop and a person who doesn't let a lot of water sit on the floor and hits all the dirty spots in a small fraction of the time. I have to conclude it isn't.
Pros: Cleans pretty well, Easy to clean parts, Easy to operate
Cons: Curious cleaning pattern, Leaves water on floor, Loud

I recently purchased this product. I love it. Both my husband and work long hours and have two small children and so only have time to clean on the weekends and by the time the general cleaning was done and toys were tidies away we were too exhausted to clean the floors. I read a review that this product was for the extremely busy or lazy. We fit the first category and on weekends, who wants to spend family time cleaning, so the complaint was my encouragement to buy. And I did. and I am ever so happy. Just wish the instructions were better. One part states use only water or the floor cleaner from iRobot whereas another part states you can use vinegar. One part states to charge fully only for first time use, but in another place it states to leave charging when not in use. There is a suction bulb that comes with it but I do not know what it is for. Also, it does not state whether you can put cleaned parts back together when wet or whether you have to wait for them to dry - we wait and it's a pain.
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Covers Entire Room, Large Debris Bin, Long Run Time
Cons: Poor Instructions

I use it mainly to clean my kitchen area where all the spills occur. It sucks up good but you have to babysit it. sometimes it bumps to an obstacle and won't go around until i nudge it but other than that it saves me energy I rather spend watching tv
