ABSOLUTELY NOT

It’s a beautiful (4 year-old) fridge but the headaches and anxiety I’ve experienced while questioning its reliability have me cursing this appliance and its maker!!! READ THE LOWEST REVIEWS. You’ll see many folks describing (usually in detail) the same problems. For me it started 6 months ago with the lights and cooling going off intermittently. I paid to replace the deli drawer control panel. Issue still occurred. Then the LED control panel, deli drawer wiring harness, ice maker fan and eventually the whole deli drawer where replaced (each on separate visits!) and THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. Additionally, now the freezer is ranging from -3 to 25 degrees on any given day which is not safe for frozen food storage. This thing is worse than a lemon… it’s a piece of junk that KitchenAid keeps hawking for its looks which are just lipstick on a pig. SAVE YOURSELF THE STRESS AND LOOK ELSEWHERE!

Third time not a charm

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was supposed to be the 2nd replacement for our fridge. Delivery showed up on time, then had me come out to see the 2nd replacement had dents. Really???? So frustrated and disappointed in KitchenAid/Whirlpool QA. Love sooo much about the fridge; design, size, storage options... except that it has major flaws. Ist fridge: Ice maker never worked + lit shelves started flashing. After months was determined an issue with mother board. 1st replacement (2nd fridge) took 8 days for icemaker to work, and no lit shelves. Purchased because 2 friends have it + love it. No issues. Is this the gift that keeps on giving? Can't your QA department get it right and ship a new fridge? Are we getting Bstock? 2nd fridge was shrink wrapped, no box.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

PRETTY PIECE OF JUNK. Buyer beware!!

This is the second unit in 5 years. Both with similar issues. Ice machine that doesn’t work, freezer that won’t freeze and the unit shuts off by itself requiring a power cycle to restart it. After searching a little online this is a very common problem with this unit and the manufacturer won’t stand behind their product. They offer an extended warranty but won’t cover preexisting conditions. I spent the extra money for Kitchen Aid thinking they were top of the line as well as an American brand. Boy was I wrong and so disappointed. Save your money and look at other manufactures. I will share on all platforms to save someone else the aggravation.

KRMF706. Second unit in 5 years. Identical problems and they won’t stand behind their product. Went round and round with their customer service team and they offer nothing in the way of a warranty repair. Save your money and look elsewhere.

Looks pretty, if only it worked.

I have had this refrigerator for 2 years. We have had to have someone out to fix portions of the refrigerator 4 times so far. It just stopped working again and now there are several things that need to be replaced. This has been a huge waste of money and is not working as often as it is working.

great design, bad performance

after 4 years of owning this refrigerator and being replaced twice and all three being repaired multiple times, i am finally giving up and purchasing a different brand. to many times loosing food. hasn't made ice in over a year.

I will never buy again.

The worst refrigerator I ever bought. So many problems, I bought the first one two months later there was a leak that can’t be fixed they replaced it with a brand new one and so many problems occurred with both refrigerators. With the power,freezer,the inside of the freezer came a part,it keeps building a wall of ice in the back and that causes the fridge and freezer not to cool anymore.

Headache

4 years old and quit cooling. Certified ASI repair company has been out 4 times and counting, still not working - going on 6 weeks. Warranty company not very supportive.
