[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator has been a disaster from the beginning. It took 3 deliveries to get an undamaged refrigerator due to poor packing. The one we finally had installed sounded like an airplane taking off due to vibration from the compressor. It took 2 repair visits to correct it. A bigger problem is the condensation along the freezer gasket from a poor insulation job. We are going on our 3rd repair visit to correct it. Kitchenaid does not want to go through the expense of fixing it properly, so they had the technician install a thin strip under the gasket that was insignificant. It is over a month since we installed our "new" refrigerator & we are very frustrated at Kitchenaid for not addressing these issues correctly or in a timely manner. Their customer service is unbelievably poor when you call in. We will not be buying any Kitchenaid or Whirlpool appliances in the future. They do not care about their customers or the inconvenience they cause. One more important point -- this is not one of their cheap refrigerators, this is top of the line. It is shameful.

Horrible fridge, DO NOT BUY

Bought this fridge in late 2020. For such an expensive fridge I have had nothing but problems with it. I have the extended warranty and have had multiple service calls where they just seem to reset the fridge and starts working, but it's only temporary. The last issue was the water, Ice and all lights not working. Had a service tech come out and didnt even investigate the issue, just said it needs some parts, main board, this that and whatever. It's been almost 2 months and still no parts, and no working fridge. This has been the worst appliance I have ever owned, I will never buy a KitchenAid appliance again, simply horrible. I would give this a zero star rating if I could.

Good until it wasn't.

I bought this refrigerator 5 1/2 years ago. I loved it until just after 5 years and my extended warranty ran out we started having problems. Just recently it died. Repair person said internal electronic part way inside went bad and no hope of fixing. I really would have thought it would have lasted longer so very disappointed. Now I won't have my matching kitchen and I am hoping my other Kitchaid appliances last longer.

Run away!!

I’ve owned this fridge for 6 years. Nothing but problems. The crisper drawer function stopped working right after the 1 year warranty was up. You constantly have to check as to whether the fridge was properly closed. If you don’t it will ice over and stop cooling. The gaskets are falling apart where the doors meet. Now the fridge is icing over. We have never had a problem free fridge where everything just works. It’s a horrible design and too needy for our house of 2 kids. This fridge is garbage and should be tossed and burned and never built again. Never buying kitchenaid again.

Worst refrigerator I have ever purchased

My wife bought i very first home 2 years ago. We decided to purchase this refrigerator due to all the good things we heard about kitchenAid and there products. 2 years after purchasing this fridge it started making an awful noise and stopped throwing out cold air in both the fridge and freezer . We found out that the coils were frozen so we end up manually melting it and hoping that it was fixed . For 2 years now we have been having the same issue , even tho the point that we have paid appliance techs to come out to diagnose the issue . At first they thought it was the defroster timer, but after replacing that part the issue continued . They said it could be the mother board which is expensive to replace. I am ready to give up on this fridge that we spent alot of money on and go to another brand . After doing some research there are many homes with the same issue that I am describing . Unfortunately i think this will be are last kitchenAid product

Would not recommend.

Extremely disappointed in this product. After just 2 years, this refrigerator would intermittently shut down and re-start itself after 30 minutes or so unless you physically disconnected and then re-connected the power to get it started again. Contacted Kitchen-Aid and they recommended an authorized repair company to look at it. The repair company’s best advice was that since the “probable” needed part was not covered by the warranty anyway, just wait until the unit shuts down completely and buy a different brand of refrigerator. What a waste of my money.
