Too Many Issues

I do not recommend this refrigerator. We got about a year of good use out of it and then problem after problem after problem. After numerous service visits, we were told on the last one that this model has had more service bulletins than any other model. It was then noticed that the cardboard on the back of the fridge was wet, which we were told was from bad insulation and is unrepairable. This explained the constant icing up of the entire inside. We paid entirely too much money to end up with this useless fridge. We bought the entire suite of appliances, so replacing it is heartbreaking.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It's and okay refrigerator but still not great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the refrigerator for a little over a month. Love how it looks and the space and layout. When first installed it made a lot of noise when the compressor was running. Pushing on the side of the refrigerator made it stop. I spoke with the salesman and he indicated it would stop in a few days, things just needed to settle. The extremely loud noise did finally stop. Now it occasionally makes a strange vibrating sound. Once again, pushing on the side or sometimes the door makes it stop until you let go. I called the salesmen four days ago and he indicated someone from Goldwing, would be calling to setup and appointment. So far, no phone call. The sound is intermittent so it will be an interesting service call when a tech does come.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the price we paid for the refrigerator, I’m surprised and disappointed that it doesn’t come “fingerprint” resistant as a standard. Pros: tons of storage space in the freezer and mid fridge sections. Cons: had to completely remove a shelf to make the refrigerator section functional I’m also not a fan of the handles, they are clunky and industrial and hard to clean around.

Poor quality

Have had this fridge for 6 yeas. The water dispenser doesn’t spray evenly and splatters everywhere. We have had the freezer and fridge stop working 3 times on us and now thw water dispenses completely stopped working.

DON'T BUY

Do not buy this refrigerator. Our freezer kept freezing up, so we had someone look at it. He said it should be under a warrant. We called the company and they said since we had someone look at it, it voided the warranty. The freezer freezing up is a know issue with this refrigerator and they knew it and never did anything about it.

I have this fridge repaired by homeserve technicians 3-4 times. They have replaced the freezer fan. Pantry drawer wires etc. etc. but this fridge still does not freeze the ice. Almost every month I realize that it stops cooling and on further checking I see the ice builds up behind the pantry drawers. -I have to defrost it every time. I would never buy kitchen aid product ever !!! Samsung , LG, GE and others are selling better products than this in less than half the price !!

A boat anchor...

Within the yr of purchasing, fridge would turn off...have to reset breaker to reset fridge...ice maker works on and off, at its leisure, hasn't worked, for months, computer board and fridge controls are below the ice maker, it gets wet when the fridge decides to turn off and ice melts...the fidge looks great, wouldn't recommend it at all...and kitchen aid, could care less...we update our kitchen every 5-6 yrs, we will never use kitchen aid again...
