Problems, problems, problems

Bought this model 6/19. After less than 3 years the issues began. First the lights went out on the top of the refrigerator (not sides). Next the refrigerator just turns off whenever it feels like it. Last week the water was dripping out of the ice machine. The refrigerator was running but not freezing the ice. So we have to unplug the refrigerator when these things happen to reset it. I did not buy the extended warranty because we bought a Kitchen Aid and felt I didn't need it. Big mistake. To repair is cost prohibitive. So disappointing. We spent a lot of money on a lemon.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought this type 2018 and 1 year later it started having problems. It's had to be repaired several times. Now, it doesn't cool in the refrigerated section and the freezer barely freezes. It's a beautiful piece of junk.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

DO NOT BUY IT

I bought this refrigerator 6 years ago. My home insurance company had to make so many repairs to it that they decided to give me the money to buy a new refrigerator and dropped this one from the policy. Some of the problems were: change parts in the ice maker because ice was pockets were forming outside of the ice compartment, once of the ice making options is not working, the freezer’s exterior drawer had to be replaced because it was closing properly and air was getting in the freezer, there are parts of the exterior that is rusting. There are many compartments and surfaces in the refrigerator that create crevices which accumulate dirt ( I have to clean this areas constantly which envolve removing everything on top). All these problems happened in within 3 years of the purchase. DO NOT BUY IT

Don’t buy a kitchen aid refrigerator

Replace the mother board twice under warranty as well well as the evaporative cooler and fan. Going through the Sam repairs at 5 years old Will never buy another kitchen aid product.

Great Refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Did a lot of research before deciding on Kitchenaid. Couldn’t be happier with the quality and versatility. We have open floor plan and its operation is a welcome silence. Plan to eventually replace all appliances with kitchenaid.

Too soon to tell

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Compressor is much noisier in my previous LG refrigerator. Also, the water dispenser doesn’t shut off when released as my old LG either. Other than those two items, it’s too early to rate the KitchenAid or make a recommendation to a friend.

Multiple repairs and still leaking water

Bought this refrigerator, dishwasher double ovens and cooktop all from KitchenAid, have had so much trouble with the refrigerator, leaking water and ruining my solid, wood floor, and warping and ruining are enclosed custom cabinetry around refrigerator. Very disappointed thought we were buying quality! Very upset that this seems to be a problem with this refrigerator based on the reviews I have read. Disappointed that there is not the quality that I had expected from a KitchenAid product. Very disappointing. Very very disappointed.

Dissapointment

I bought this fridge along with several other appliances for a new home and after having the fridge installed, up and running, for the last 2 months there are issues. The stainless steel is RUSTING on the right ad fridge door. I have never seen anything like this. Also, there is something wrong with the seal to the freezer. Water is coming from somewhere and forming icicles on the freezer drawers, which makes them difficult to open and shut.
Would not recommend. Kitchen Aid has missed the mark on this product.
