More Cons than Pros

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased all KitchenAid appliances for our new home. The refrigerator is not user friendly. Difficult to organize food and drinks. The shelves are too close or too far which eliminates ability to organize products. The mean/cheese unit inside the refrigerator is useless. It is not large enough for any item. The plastic top is useless and more of a nuisance. The two drawers are the best part of design. The freezer section is fair. If we could get the frost to not develop, it would be fine. We have had two repairmen with no results. The third repairman will arrive tomorrow. KitchenAid Service is useless. For what we paid for the refrigerator, it is not a good buy. We had LG refrigerator which was fantastic, but we wanted all the same appliances for our new home. Big mistake. I contemplate giving two stars. Poor purchase.

Fridge.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The only issue is the design on the top 2 doors. The left door does not open enough causing to have to open the right door as well to get something large in.

Love the compartments

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with this new refrigerator. I can easily have a place for each type of food and see where it is. I particularly like I having a space to hold several half gallon containers— in our old fridge we used to have to lay some on their side. The freezer is one-off my favorite features, having the food in layers in the slide out sections in stead of everything piled on top of each other makes everything easier to find.

Lacks top end quality you expect for the $

As one of the most expensive free standing refrigerators offered by Kitchenaid, I wish it was a little more thought out. The ice dispenser is EXTREMELY LOUD! Also, the bottom of the exterior water dispenser does not have a lip. So any residual ice or water spills onto the floor.
Other than that, the delivery was fast and easy. They called beforehand and arrived right on time. Nice features on the product itself.

Great on the outside, less so on the inside

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased 1 month ago for new home. Refrigerator has all the right features but quality is questionable. One of the freezer drawer shelves was warped and had to be replaced immediately by a service technician. The technician also told me to purchase plastic to cover the control panel on the top of the left multi-use drawer under the refrigeration compartment as the unit has a engineering defect, a thermistor fails, cooling stops, ice melts and drips onto the drawer control panel ruining it, part always back ordered. Not expected with Kitchenaid brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
