Well designed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product is priced at the high end but well deserved. My last KitchenAid lasted 16 years and still running strong, now relegated to the garage. Hopefully this one is just as trouble-free. I had reservations when purchasing because of the number of handles jutting out from the unit. But after the refrigerator was in its place, lower cabinets have the look of custom drawers and function accordingly. Soft-close features deserve a "wow". LED illumination inside the top compartment flatters the interior - "The refrigerator is fit for a queen," said the installer to my daughter. One is inclined to open the bi-fold doors and admire the collection of food! Highly flexible storage shelves and accommodating drawers - one can't imagine how much more usable space is now available without the side-by-side partition for the freezer unit. Two shallow trays for treats and a deep trough in the bottom freezer - well thought of features. The ice/water selector control panel/display is lean on features compared with Korean competitors, but intuitive and highly functional. One drawback is the "platinum-look" plastic trims inside the frig. Expect that they would scrape off over time. Bins are same light-weight plastic jobs in cheaper models. Overall very satisfied.

Nothing but trouble

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 9 months owned. Ice maker replaced. Main mother board replaced. Now the refrigerator won’t hold temperature below 40. 3 week wait for repair service. Nothing but trouble so far.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Well built and good looking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We'd previously purchased and returned a lower Kitchen Aid model because it was dented when we received it. We shopped around and found this 5 door fridge. Our only hesitation was whether all of those handles would look silly. It doesnt. It looks great in our kitchen. More importantly, insides are sturdy and well built. A great feel of quality - as well as the bright LED lighting on the inside.
The two middle pull out drawers are very handy for things you use often because you don't need to open your entire fridge (I hate when the fridge doors are open!!). And the freezer set up is fantastic. They've managed three separate levels of storage which adds a lot of useful space and ensures that things don't get buried at the bottom.
I highly recommend this fridge. Have had it for a week and so far there are no cons.

Great fridge with tons of storage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the fridge. It is far superior (capacity, functionality, style, operating noise) to the side-by-side GE fridge that our house came with. It's so quiet and the storage capacity is incredible. I love the pull out drawers for storing drinks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] From the extra space to the soft close draws and very quiet running, we are very happy to have made this but. The previous negative comments about ice production, well the trick there is to let the initial set up take its time. Wait two days before you “open” it up and load anything. It works great.

Don’t waste your money

I bought this refrigerator think it would last me years the first issue started one week before we bought it turned out to be the power panel which they had to replace it twice and know I have to unplug it for a while then plug it in and it works i have had so many issue with it and kitchen aid warranty is a joke just save your money
