Bought this refrigerator a little over a year ago and I am fed up with the loud noise when it turns on. At times it is almost like a single prop airplane flying overhead. Am about ready to do a kitchen remodel and am seriously considering dumping this refrigerator. Have read where others have had the same problem. Seems like Kitchenaid would put some padding somewhere to the gross vibrations.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love it so far

I have only had this refrigerator about a month, but really like it. I had a larger cubic foot LG and this one seems to hold more than the LG. Very satisfied so far. Anything has to be better than the LG and their horrible customer service.

Water lines need to be redesigned

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Less than one month of ownership, so far so good. The issue I had right off the bat was with the water dispenser making a huge loud vibration helicopter sound. It was not the filter nor air in the system. It's the water pressure from the wall being too high and making the solenoid have a hard time staying open when water is solicited at the door. The solution was to reduce the water pressure by partially shutting off the wall water valve. Another design issue is the water spout is positioned too far out and it also doesn't dispense a solid stream at any pressure, it always splatters around intermittently during a pour. I just hope this unit lasts as long as my previous Whirlpool Gold of 20 years.
