Lots of Good. Some not so Good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Good: There is so much versatility in how the refrigerator and freezer compartments can be arranged, making it easy to see and find everything. Also, the ice maker has proven itself able to keep up with our demand. A real plus of the measured-fill feature is it allowed me to calibrate the output, and it repeatedly outputs the exact amount; this is good since I no longer must measure water for recipes.
One design disappointment: The in-door water dispenser is a downgrade from the dispenser in our old Whirlpool even though KitchenAid is generally an upgrade within the Whirlpool family. The old Whirlpool had a pull-out shelf and a tall space so even the tallest pitchers could fill. With the new KA, I must handhold the pitcher at an angle to catch the water. In fairness to KA, this is only a problem for me since I use the filtered water from the refrigerator to fill two coffeemakers; for regular glasses, the dispenser gets the job done.
The Not so Good: Unlike our KA oven and dishwasher, the refrigerator has required two service calls immediately after delivery and setup. The first was resolved when the service technician discovered a screw in the freezer compartment was partially backed out and limiting one of the slide out drawers from completely opening. The second service call is because condensation was collecting along the upper seal of the freezer compartment. The technician ordered and replaced the seal this week, but the condensation is still forming, so another service call will be necessary.

Best fridge ever!

Short life span

We were so excited to get this fridge and our other kitchenaid appliances. Unfortunately its lifespan was less than 5 years. Several break downs (deli drawer control panel -I guess the ice maker leaked on it), ice maker, and finally the freezer went south and it was more expensive to fix than get a new fridge. Very disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Outstanding storage design
