Spacious both refrigerator and freezer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great refrigerator, definitely better than the 5-year-old one Korean made brand that it replaced. I purchased it after realizing that the 25-year-old KitchenAid I have still working in the garage is doing amazingly. I only gave it 4 starts, because I feel the spacing and shelving distribution inside the refrigerator needs a better layout. Space is good, but the shelving does not provide much flexibility. I always had a side-by-side refrigerator and was reluctant to a bottom freezer. I am no longer; I am convinced with this one that space and ease to store and select of its is at easy or better than a side-by-side refrigerator. The ice maker produces enough ice for our requirements. This was another issue with the previous Korean made one.

Ice machine needs work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The features are really good, the only problems are that the ice maker is really loud when dispensing ice, and sometimes just runs without dropping ice. The hatch will also clog sometimes with ice and you have to open it and stick something up inside to dislodge the ice. Plus the water dispensing takes too long. The freezer does not seem like it seals, since frost forms on some of the items in the freezer.

BEST FRIDGE

Great design made cheaply.

We’ve had the fridge for a year. The layout with drawers, the depth - all terrific. It holds a lot of food and it’s well organized. The shiny metal exterior is showing little rust spots and it dents very easily (a cabinet knob). Also a build up in frost in freezer required a repair. Disappointed. Buy the extended warranty if u buy this fridge.

Fingers crossed that it lasts!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After 19 days of ownership, the refrigerator section temperature plummeted and froze all of our food. The motherboard had to be replaced and most of the food was ruined.

Poor Performance

I bought this a year ago and exact after one year it stopped cooling. It started making noise like a generator running. I can't operate in the kitchen as it constantly made loud sound. I never expected such product from KitchenAid after paying good price. In addition, all my food is spoiling though keeping the temperature at 37 degree Fahrenheit. I have recorded video of same attached herewith to understand about the issue. I am really very much disappointed by Kitchen Aid now. I wish I could have got an option to change this refrigerator then I can select simple 3 door instead of this 5 door hi-tech fridge.

This refrigerator starting having issues a month after the warranty ran out. The lights, and the compressor stops working but the ice make panel works. We have to cycle power and after a few time it will start cooling again. We have had a repair tech here 6 times and they changed everything from the working harnesses, both control boards, the crisper drawer. The last time they seem to finally got it fixed. No after 2 months it’s back to not working. Don’t waste your money on this product the techs have been in touch with the factory and they can’t fix it. Not even 4 years old yet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
