Issues with the ice maker

I purchased this refrigerator in August of 2020. It took 8 months to finally get it. I waited that long because I thought it was a real nice fridge so I haven't had it very long. Overall I still feel it's a nice fridge but very expensive. That being said if I'm spending this kind of money an appliance I expect it to be a quality item. Almost everything on this fridge seems to be well thought out except for the water/ice dispenser and the freezer drawer. The water/ice dispenser is of the poorest quality with a plastic tray that does not collect any water because it's a solid piece and looks really cheap! It really doesn't go with the rest of the fridge. I currently have an open repair ticket to fix the water dispenser. It splatters water when used. It should be a solid stream but acts like there is air in the line when there isn't. After (2) visits the tech found a kinked water line at the connection at the top of the door. Hopefully once he replaces that it will fix that problem. The other issue is the freezer door. It grinds when you open it. I'm pretty sure that's just the way it is. Poor quality. As a consumer willing to pay top dollar for a quality appliance, I am disappointed with this product and the quality control. Seems this is the world we live in today. Quality has gone by the wayside with everything. Disappointed
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great refrigerator
