Very Disappointing - blinded by the beauty

I have had this beautiful refrigerator for 5 years. I was very happy to have purchased the extended warrantee. It has never worked properly, not for very long anyway. Most of the time it was too warm, it would cool properly for about a month then everything in the produce drawer would freeze. My repair tech comes every three months or so to pull it apart and scrape the ice from the back of the fridge. He tells me that it is a common issue with this model. So disappointing. Such a .beautiful appliance, hopefully we can find something similar looking to match the rest of our set.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great fridge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the 5 door concept of this fridge. Even though it is just .4 cu ft smaller than my 4 door Whirlpool gold fridge it seems a lot smaller. Harder to organize. The door bins are smaller and the curved bottoms are pretty but not functional, preventing more storage.overall though, I am happy with it and would recommend it.

Great functionality, but loud.

We love the size (large) and functionality of the two middle drawers and the large sliding trays in the freezer. Unfortunately there is a loud buzzing / vibrating noise that we immediately noticed. Visitors will say “what IS that noise”. We’re on the verge of asking for the company to do something.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this in April, still too noisy for me, not sure was sized correctly or installed correctly. Freezer struggles to keep up with ice cube needs. I do love the drawers in the freezer which keep smaller items from being buried. Would be hesitant to recommend it.

All Good Except the Ice Maker

Really wanted to live this premium cost appliance

Freezer lights never worked. Interior lights stopped working within 3 months. Unit freezes over and shutdown.
Less than 5 yrs later and everything stopped. Appears the mother board is bad because of all the issues. Says door open when it's not, ice dispenser stopped working now won't dispense water. This model is infamous for having a bad gasket allowing condensation to accumulate on coils and makes it's way to the motherboard. The cost of repairs outweighs the repair/replace decision.

Unless Fridgedaire corrects their issues I will never buy another whirlpool brand appliance again

We expected a lot more from the fridge. It’s beautiful to look at but did not perform as expected given the price tag. The bottom freezer always had issues with a proper seal and the freezer would have icicles hanging inside of it. This happened a few months after buying the fridge and continued even after 2 service calls. The middle drawers would have water accumulating underneath them that would leak all under the fridge ruining our hardwood floors. The lights went out and had to all be replaced . A interior bin broke and had to be replaced. The freezer interior doors were very cheap and broke . Now at almost 5 years the ice melted and everything in the freezer melted and spoiled . The fridge is warm and no longer has the proper temperature. It has been a week with a broken fridge, spoiled food and no one to come and fix it. We purchased the extended warranty but the service has been sub par to say the least . We are so utterly disappointed in this product. We have no faith in ever purchasing another kitchen aid fridge again. We feel this product was a lemon.
