[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my fridge the only issue I have are the rubbers on the inside of door. Both sides are getting torn and don’t look good at all. KitchenAid needs to figure a better way for the sealing of the door

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally a design that lets everyone see what is in the refrigerator and it results in less spoiled food. The freezer is great too, lots of room. With the old side by side you needed steel toed shoes when getting in the freezer. I am somewhat concerned about the unit constantly running. It does not have a energy star rating which is obvious but overall it’s great.

Disappointed with the quanlity

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had to reject first delivery with door issue. Received during second attempt. But this makes loud noise at times way more than my 15+ years old Amana. I missed the time to return this and trying to schedule the service with no luck.
Customer service helped to setup a service appointment and no one showed. Now trying again to setup a service appointment, I will have to check my luck this time. Not sure if they can do anything to fix this though. Kitcken-aid being one of the best appliances from Whirlpool, I didn't expect this.

Some issues

Mine is now 6 years old. After 3 years some issues with ice maker so I had to thaw fridge and reset. Lasts a few months then have to repeat. Now my fridge and freezer won’t cool so I had repairman in and it needs to have 2 computer boards replaced. Didn’t realize this fridge has excellent warranty coverage. Read your manual. But I am now in the over 5 year coverage and that only covers compressor. Thankfully when I called KitchenAid they offered a new one-year warranty at considerable cost which I purchased. The 2 computer boards with labour cost almost as much as the warranty so I am happy to have bought the warranty. Lasts another 12 months. I still do love the design and durability of this fridge despite these problems. Wish we didn’t have to worry about the quality of appliances.
