Whats the Easy Slide Bin for?

Due to the size and slide not fully opening it seems very hard to determine what your supposed to put in the Easy Slide Bin. The owners manual tells you what its NOT for which is leafy greens, but nothing else. Is there a list of recommendations one what to put in it, plus it says its not temperature or humidity controlled, so how would you know?
