Licks water and create ice sheet

We bought this refrigerator as a replacement in our new home with another Kitchenaid. For the past 1 year we have noticed rust and ice sheet forming underneath the middle drawers and it all because there was water licking unto our hardwood floor. I had contacted Kitchenaid last September 2019, after a struggle and complain, they decided to pay for the part repair. Now, 9 months later, the refrigerator is still licking water and the ice sheet has returned. This is costing us more money and a frustration in having our hardwood floor damaged.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the Drawers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I only had unit for 1 day, cooled quickly, is very quite. The only thing I can say that I do not like is the shape of ice cubes. They are old school. LOTS of room for produce lovers. I juice frequently and have long leafy vegetables. The drawers hold them perfectly. I also love the herb drawer.

Love the fridge hate the ice maker

I really like the drawers in this fridge and the compartments in the freezer. The ice maker is so poor at making ice that we called a service technician to replace it after having the fridge for 2 months. The ice maker was replaced with a new one but still functions the same as the old one. It's a flaw with the ice maker that comes with the fridge. It doesn't even make enough ice for my husband and I and we often run out of ice. When we have company and never have enough ice and it's embarrassing. I really wish they would come up with a better ice maker for this fridge and would replace mine. It's very frustrating to have to buy bags of ice after spending this much on a fridge.

Way too loud

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this refrigerator for about 5 months now and the ice dispenser is way too loud. I replaced a KitchenAid refrigerator with this one and it wasn't half as loud. If you get ice at night, the whole house wakes up. Not good.

Excellent Design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the design: the upper refrigerator with french doors - the shelves can be arranged to go all the way across, which accommodates large trays. The two drawers are excellent - we keep our deli and produce in there and then don't have to open the larger unit to get something quickly (and they soft-close). And the bottom freezer accommodates so much more than my old side-by-side. My husband and son like the pizza storage. I like the way the main part has a slideable divider - so no space is wasted. Worth it!!
