Very low quality, very expensive mistake

I bought this a bit over a year ago when our new house was under construction. We only put it into use last fall and have had numerous issues noted since. We never seen such issues in even cheap everyday fridges. From popping noises to doors that don't close properly, to bins that have clearly never been tested with basic grocery items like milk gallons, this fridge shows that it was designed by someone who focused purely on style and never tested the product with actual use. The usability of this fridge is horrible, and amount of wasted space in there is extremely extremely poor. Now as we enter spring, the top left side of the interior above the ice maker is frosting in patches from the back to front with droplets of water scattered across. We don't even have the iceman hooked up yet! This is really the last straw now. It looks like we are already beginning to enter true mechanical failure on the fridge. I am not sure what will happen now as we have barely used this fridge for 6 months, but have owned it for more than the year warranty, but could not use it since our house was not done. I have owned many refrigerators over the years and believe in buying a quality product. I payed for quality, and feel cheated by a pretty package with clearly bad design, and clearly low quality. I really need kitchen aid to step up and fix this as the level of disappointment in this product makes me question buying another kitchen aid product again.
Look very carefully at your options and check for a long term warranty before buying this. Not happy at all.

Refrigerator that don't work in the beginning

A total disappointment

This refrigerator was a big disappointment. So excited when I bought it. Top of the line. Spent a lot of $. The freezer has stopped working twice and it’s not even 2 years old. First the ice maker stops making ice then the freezer stops cooling. It’s the sealing system I am told. There is a leak inside the refrigerator somewhere which is impossible to find. 2 repairman have come under manufacture warranty and both did a quick fix but I was told it won’t last long. They will be back. The fridge has a bigger problem which they aren’t equipped to fix.
Don’t buy this refrigerator. Don’t waste your money. It’s horrible. Kitchen aide calls to chat but then unless pressed they don’t offer the warranty info up front.

Sexy refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this refrigerator. I had a Kitchenaid for almost 17 years and the ice maker was amazing. It went out so I decided to get a new Kitchenaid refrigerator. I was not sure if I would like the French door style but it is really efficient. I feel like I have more room. There are two separate drawers that are perfect for meats and veggies. I have had it less than one month. I did buy the extended warranty from Kitchenaid.

Love the extra outer drawers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The extra outer drawers save a lot of energy as I put my sandwich items in them so I don't have to open the large fridge drawers as often. Also I like the water and ice on the outside of the fridge rather than the inside like many of the new fridges.
