Having the Refrigerator a little over two week it works 100% better then the previous Korean refrigerator we had. I would say that BUY AMERICAN is correct and from now on I will do just that

Great replacement

While my home warranty company would not help, KitchenAid was more than fair with me concerning the replacement. I love the space , the preserva function and of course, it matches my other kitchen aid appliances.

The one star is for its outside good looks

I loved the look so much that I paid top dollar for it. Sadly after 3.5 years, our appliance repairman said to 'throw it away & don't look back!' We can't even relegate it to the garage. There's just 2 of us, no abuse. Plastic pieces in the freezer broke off, causing it to not close properly, icing up constantly, one drawer front is completely broken off due to a small WELD needed--appliance repairmen don't weld! The doors and drawers have constantly gone askew over the years, even with leveling the base again and again. The lighting is non functioning inside--it's dark inside!! Our only option--after paying the service calls--is to buy an all new freezer drawer and an all new drawer, because they're NOT REPAIRABLE! Our repairmen told us, 'Don't do it, we see this all the time. It's poorly made. Just get rid of it.' Never expected to hear that just a few years after purchase. Wow, Kitchenaid.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's been 2 months today since I've had this beauty! It is a statement piece in my kitchen, it is big and more importantly beautifully organized fridge. It is quiet, cools nicely (maybe too cold for my taste) and looks stunning - outside and inside! I love the two drawer units - so useful and helpful! However, I have two complaints: 1. I can not see the temperature (and temperature setting) in the fridge nor in freezer unit. It may be there somewhere, but it is not visible and I don't know how to look for it. 2. When doors were not closed properly it does not produce warning sound - neither for the fridge, not for the freezer compartment (learned that hard way - a bag of frozen fruit got in the freezer drawer way, did not close properly and was left unclosed for several hours, after which time I found water drippings in my freezer.).
I would recommend this to a friend!
